What does he have to do with anything? He seems to realize that recruiting is important. But it's not his job to recruit the players. Now Mike Riley... Top 15 or bust. Although signing day is still a few weeks away, it's starting to look like a bust. Not good for job security IMO.
Like I said before... Riley swang for the fence and missed. Too early to tell if that was a good strategy

I think we all need to chill. There is going to be some understandable venting from frustrated fans on here today. The inability of some people on this board to let people vent once in a while amazes me. Way too sanctimonious for me. Is the OP over the top? Hell yes and I noted as much above. But is he a hater spreading hate? Geez.... Lighten up. The dude is pissed and venting right now
Mature people don't need to vent by wanting random people fired just because they're upset about a few recruits not going our way.
Oh I agree completely. But I would add that mature people also don't come on here all in a huff with a mighty wind of sanctimony behind them to condemn such people either.
So here is the deeper question: do mature people come on to football chat boards at all? Ha. I have seen a lot of evidence that the answer to that is largely no.

His two coaching hires have left a lot to be desired so far unless you are happy with the nice person image part.
WBB is a mess, but I will give Coach Williams a chance to fix it. I'm glad SE had the stones to get rid of Pelini and Riley already has us back to where we were under Pelini and without all the embarrassment.
A lot to be desired so far? You're talking about a football coach who has completed two years and a women's basketball coach in her first season. I hope your superiors judge you that harshly so quickly.
WBB was every bit as bad of a mess in Connie Yori's first year too. She was one season from being fired before she got the team to the NCAA tournament in her 5th season. I'm guessing people on here who are judging Amy Williams as a failure in her first season likely don't care about WBB-they just are desperate to find anything they can use against Eichorst.
Eichorst was an idiot before today, not sure why today's changed that for you
I'm just happy we're still continuing with this west coast style of offense that we seem to be unable to break away from
Don't agree on the need for anyone being fired however, it's not just "a few recruits". It has been a series of gut punches with hearing we are a legitimate shot for recruits and we consistently get left empty-handed. Overall frustrating situations.
No win situation... if you don't want days like today, do a pelini and don't go after these types of players. But as soon as you don't, risk getting ripped by the fans for not going after these players.
These coaches are gonna get crapped on by the fans no matter what. At least they are making every effort to try to change things.
