I hate that Lindgren won't be called up today. It could still happen but it's not likely. It would be a hell of an accomplishment to be drafted in June and pitching in the Majors in September.

I didn't realize he has pitched as many innings as he has this year though. Maybe that really is a concern? I'll hang up and let the baseball guru's chime in

His 80 innings is a lot for a reliever. Plus having to protect him from the Rule 5 draft if they don't keep him on the 40 is a concern. Hopefully he gets an invite to the big league camp in the spring with a chance to make the club from day one.
