So because he had a MUCH better year in 2012, that automatically means he gets to be All-SEC in 2013, too? Is that really what you are arguing? He had less than half the tackles in 2013 as he did in 2012. Msstate7 clearly pointed out how average he was in 2013... but go on... keep spinning away. Nothing new here. You just further proved how utterly stupid and ridiculous his 2013 All-SEC "recognition" was.

Don't hate me. I'm just stating what the Bear controlled media voted as 2013 AP All-SEC team.

http://collegefootball.ap.org/article/2013-associated-press-all-sec-football-team

But seriously, where is McKinney on that list???

The MEDIA said it? Oh well damn.. Case closed. Because a bunch of people who have mostly never even played competitive football is dead on every time and is NEVER swayed by hype. Ohhhh no. Never swayed by hype at all.

Since the media has also said that UM has consistently out recruited MSU..... What's your explanation as to what has been going on?

I agree. I know we're not supposed to talk about things like us having players with good character and UM having a bunch of thugs. But the truth is, overall, our team does have better character and better leadership than theirs does. And I think that shows when the going gets tough.

I'm sure Vandy fans thought the same thing the night before the rape stuff became public.

That is a perfect example ...

But seriously, where is McKinney on that list???

of team 'defining statement'

Bears interested in ... 'Crooting Rankings, media attention over results on the playing field, grove articles

State interested in ... player development, team building, getting players in the NFL

Here are the FACTS ...

ua a tot tfl/yds sacks/no-yds fumbles/rcv-yds
B.McKinney 4229717.0-44 3.5-36 2-26
D. Nkemdiche 1718352.0-301-24

opinion? Do you honestly believe Denzel is better than what many NFL guys are saying will be one of the top LBs taken in the draft, next year?

You are forgetting... it's all about perception to them. If the media "thinks" he will be better and writes about it, Ole Miss fans will automatically jump to that as their first argument. Perception.... not reality. I'm not even sure why this comes as a surprise to anyone. It's all they have left in a program that can't live up to expectations every single year. Our program is leaps and bounds ahead of theirs and has been for years. The media can't realize that because they choose to not look hard enough.

Last year he had 35 tackles (0 sacks) (0 ints) in 10 games.

Richie brown had 38 tackles (2 sacks) (1 int)

He did play hurt most of the year, and he spent a good bit of time playing behind Bryant because of said discipline issues. His numbers as a freshman were unreal, especially for a 190 pound LB. If he's focused and healthy, he's very much an above average play-maker.

Denzel has no shot at the NFL because of his body type/talent combination. When he's focused and healthy (which are question marks), he's a very good college player. It's silly to say otherwise. Will he be focused and healthy this year? That's anyone's guess.

Is he better than McKinney? Not as far as a prospect is concerned and probably not even as a player overall, but that doesn't mean he can't be a high impact player. There is a reason he's been on All-SEC teams and made pre-season All-SEC this year in spite of being injured and in and out of the line up last year all year.

As far as the NFL, I can't think of where he could play. Guys his size these days are playing cornerback in the NFL. He doesn't have cornerback skills. He has OLB skills, so he has no shot at the NFL, but he can be the leader of his brother's entourage if he wants.
