That's laughable, coach66. Realistically do you actually believe we turned down an opportunity to host the #3 player in Mississippi and a former FSU commit? Their board is reporting that neither Pack nor Speaks have returned our calls for the past couple of months. Mullen and a couple of our staff showed up unannounced at Speaks doorstep and then Pack's. Without the maroon colored glasses, that is a lot more believable.

We have a good class too! I've heard that OM has tried unsuccessfully to stay in touch with Green. So it works both ways.

It I have a strong belief that it is the truth. It is what it is and yes they have been relentless with a few of our guys . Difference being we weren't pushing they were and I think our coaches wrote it off as more bear bs which it likely was or just a push for a little love bonus.

I'm confused. Did he contact Mullen begging for a visit and get denied, or did Mullen swoop in with a late in-home visit that really turned heads with assistance from Jesse Jackson?
Pack and Jackson begged Dan so much to visit pack that he finally broke down and visited him. Dan took the egg along with a golden helmet to show pack 2 things he'll never get to hold/wear. Upon Dan leaving, pack scheduled a press conference for Sunday night to re-commit to OM. I got the details from tsunbearhunter****

Fair point. I just read it in context: "which would be more important to you [if you were making a decision on where to attend college]?"
I also sort of thought he was talking about the moms that were referenced as maybe not liking the sexual assault allegations. Which also would mean the moms have low bank accounts. Not a great assumption but typical.
Anyway, recruiting brings out the worst. So ready for this to be over.

I've noticed several people make statements about why would we turn them down (if we even did). But the simple fact is you don't want your commit going on an OV to your instate rival and you don't bring in a commit from your instate rival unless you know they are in play. For fun I looked up Alabama and Auburns official visits the last three years. Unless I missed someone, Neither school brought a player in that was already committed to the other school. Players that were undecided? Sure, but if you wanted to visit the other school you had to decommit and prove you were undecided. Do you honestly think Saban is too scared or it makes his recruiting seem weak because he won't bring them in for official visits? No it doesn't, but there are numerous good reasons to not bring those players in for officials. I would play the exact same way. If you want to visit, fine, decommit first then we will see about setting something up if you are sincere. Otherwise I may just be wasting time and resources on a player that at best just wanted a free trip.
The other thing about denying a visit from a commit from your rival...
Is don't want that guy recruiting for the rival school while on a visit to your school.
