that Tiger has lost "it" is full of ****, and knows little or nothing about golf. Sure he had a bad tournament and a bad year for him, yeah, only three wins. (after knee surgery).

Tiger will shake off any cob-webs and be back. Heck, in golf the favorite is only expected to win about 20% of the time, or less.

Exactly. He has only won 1 of the last 4 majors that he has played in , and oh yeah....He won it on a broken leg.

like I said- he's 33 now...married...little kids...coming off knee surgery...He is still the best golfer on tour by far, but does it mean as much to him as it used to? Time will tell

I think Jack would destroy these doorknobs on tour today just like Tiger does...and I think Tiger would have taken down Player and crew as well...

The Tiger is "easily the best ever" crowd are the people I have problems with

But again I agree with you. Tiger is among the best ever and is clearly in the discussion. Anyone who says he is "easily" or "clearly" the best ever is sorely mistaken. One thing to keep in mind is the media coverage of sports in general and golf specifically is about a million times more prevalent now than it was in Nicklaus' day. If Nicklaus were in his prime in these days of instant media, 24 hour sports news, the interwebs, etc, he would be just as big of a megastar as Tiger is.

Also, lets see if Tiger is winning a Masters at age 46.

that jack is better and the field was better and deeper than it is now. so logic would tell me that would mean that tiger didn't make the cut today against mediocre golfers compared to jack's competitors, which again shows tiger isn't as good.

odd thing is that a 59 year old man is tied for the lead. personally i call that a deep field. just me. and i know that you will next argue that jack lost to watson by ONLY one stroke at the Open in 1977 and watson was a mere 27 years old.

so add this to your list but disregard the possibility that the field is deeper now than ever: tiger just got beat by a 59 year old watson by 10 strokes when watson beat jack only by 1 stroke while in his prime at the same event.

it is a good argument to have though. they are both crazy good and the debate will continue either until tiger retires or until he starts playing poorly for multiple years.

I don't expect Tiger to fall far in the rankings, but he's definitely lost his game... Time for a new mental coach, and maybe a new man on the bag...

yeah, great call. tiger is coming off a major injury and this is the first tournament this year where he didn't finish top 10. what a ****** year for him. lol
maybe you should follow golf before you try to comment on it.

he`s still the best today but after he had to clean himself up when the PGA started testing in July of 08 he`ll never be as dominant again. Now don`t take my word for this just watch.

i don't think he's "easily" the best ever. maybe i assume too much in thinking he will definitely surpass Jack. I'll give you that one. However, he IS easily one of the best two players ever.
