It's one thing to burn some scholarships when you only have 5-6 guys on the active roster, but I wouldn't mind him holding on to one considering that we'll only have one senior leaving the team after next season. I think he'll get much better quality for it next year.

Are you trying to say something here? Like the fool is wanting to come back?

"If he quit on you once he will quit on you again". Mullen is the man.

Mullen with before he took his leave and they agreed on the leave. Or maybe Mullen developed his slogan after Carr quit on him again. Just passing along what he said.

But if I'm Ray and I can get Hood back, I do it. And if Ray does get Hood to come back, I think all of his critics would have to admit that we look like a lot better team going into next year than we would have if we'd kept Stansbury.

where Carroll had decided to transfer due to Croom but Mullen wasn't able to talk him out of it. Would Mullen have taken Carroll back if he had changed his mind at the last moment? I would think so. In this situation, Hood apparently had made up his mind to leave the soap opera that was MSU basketball and Ray apparently wasn't able to initially talk him out of it. If Hood is indeed seeing what Ray is doing and getting to know him better and would like to come back because he likes what he sees then, to me, that is in no way comparable to Hood quitting on Ray if he had originally signed to play basketball at MSU with Ray already as the HC. I personally would welcome him back in a heartbeat if he truly would like to come back.

we would HAVE to let him stay- to not do so would be the stupidest thing ever done. Mullen being the man regardless.
Anyway, out of all the people who quit last year, Hood was not one of them. He played hard through the season, then requested a transfer. If you're going to do it, that's how you do it.

anyone saying different is just being foolish. A fanbase should understand that players are going to be uncertain about things when there is a coaching change. Happens all the time especially in basketball.

He has been playing pick up games with them in the Mize Center. Would be great if he did. maroonmania said:
