Nah. Defensive front 7 got exposed. Lateef looked like a freshman. I’m actually encouraged by the performance. I thought they would blow us out. A Dylan fumble and a missed field goal were huge plays that killed us. It happens.
Nobody wastes opportunities like Dana!! Pathetic. Encourage him to take any job he wants.
Pathetic coaching performance. USC was unranked going into Their bye last week. Laughable third quarter coaching. Pissed away a timeout on first and 10. First and 10 at the 23 with easy shot at going up 2 scores and he lets Dylan to his typical hold onto the ball too long and take a sack turnover and get hurt. Run the ******* ball there Dana. Then Matt doesn’t go for it on 4th and 1. Pisses away a second timeout. Then he tries a field goal beyond his kickers capability. Plain stupidity all the way around.
I’m sure losing the starting QB and having to turn to a guy that hadn’t played in 2 months had something to do with it.

A lot closer game than I thought it would be considering how easily they ran against us. We just beat ourselves once again.
What? This is the strangest analysis I have seen of a Husker game. This team had opportunities with Lateef. I don't understand why the coaching staff didn't trust him enough to win the game.

How about don't get cute with a long developing play that not only got our QB hurt but also fumbled and gave the ball back to USC after a turnover.
Not to mention that cluster fck of wasting a timeout to miss a FG when a simple rpo was the obvious choice. You had a chance to put this game away and our coaches once again decided to get stupid.
3-25 against ranked teams. You have to stop making excuses for Matt. He melted down on the sideline. That behavior does not inspire players. He's a loose cannon. Our best hope is Penn State can't find anyone to take their job, and they are forced to take Rhule.
Lateef was having issues completing screen passes
Exactly what did you want them to do with Lateef? They dropped him back and at least 3 times he pulled the ball down and ran it. I would have maybe tried to run more read option but they called some. Their edge guys and backers were very good and almost all of Dylan’s completions were contested catches. They just have a better front 7 than we do. They won. We played better than I thought we might but we missed a field goal and Dylan’s fumble and injury were huge factors. Flush it and get ready for the next game. Hopefully Dylan can go cuz Lateef ain’t ready.

We almost need to start Lateef to open more lanes for Emmett. He is fighting for most of his yards and it's going to be a long November. If Raoila could hit the deep ball I wouldn't be saying this.
This L can be isolated to one play! You know your o line is struggling and your QB holds the ball too long and yet drop back pass that ends in a fumble and DR out!!! Fking stupid football.

We all know Usc has the better talent, they usually haul in top ten classes just about every year. When Nebraska gets that kind of talent year in and out, they start to win some of these close ones. The effort was there, just not enough talent.

We mismanaged this game terribly and missed opportunities left and right. Some things keep occurring every week consistently.
Our WRs cannot get separation and we fired one coach and got “the guy” but it doesn’t seem to work. Did we hit any passes over the middle besides on to our TE?
Our run D is just terrible. We can’t set an edge to save our butts aside from the play where 96 split two defenders toward the end. I am done with Butler. He concerned me coming in to the year and he has confirmed my fears. Lives for the blitz and he gets outsmarted too much with screens.

You will be waiting a long time. Everyone except Nebraska fans were right about what would happen to Nebraska football when TO retired.
The one time TJ threw the ball down the field he hit his receiver in the hands and it was dropped. Holgersen called the game toddler safe once Raiola went down. Lot of good that did for us. We lost. But, I'm sure you are OK with that because.....
All we needed was a dual threat QB, I've seen it posted over and over on this board....
Somewhat agree but with our run defense and OL the margin for error is small against any decent team.
