about Mullen's questionable late 4th qtr moves is the indisputable fact that Mullen had this team 110% prepared to play some damn football last night. In 6 years, I don't think I've ever seem us have a gameplan and execute quite like that.

I thought that one of the best calls of the game was when we were pinned deep around the 15 yard line in the 4th qtr, and LSU had just scored. Their defense had come to life, and we had something like a 3rd and 7. Dak called for the snap, runs to the left, and just as it looked like LSU had is completely sniffed out, Dak does a 180 and flips the ball in the completely opposite direction for a 1st down. It was a brilliant situational play call.

My hat's off to the coaching staff for how unbelievably prepared this team was last night.

Bingo. 95% of the game was the best coaching job any of us have seen from Mullen.

My thoughts on the comeback now have turned to the fact that we were up by 18 with under 3 minutes and survived a LSU comeback in Death Valley. If we didn't have an excellent game for the first 57 minutes we wouldn't have been in the position to survive it.

This is exactly what my buddy was saying last night, as everyone else at the house was bitching about Mullen and "the comeback". The whole Death Valley at night thing is very real.

They were very well prepared. As far as the end of the game that we made way too exciting, nobody said we had to win with style points, just win. Thing is we had a chance to really make a statement and we let that opportunity slip away. The players deserved it, the coaches deserved it, and the fans wanted it. The great thing is it sounds like Mullen realizes it too. I bet we don't see that happen again.
The great thing is we won. This team grew up last night and they believe they can be special and the coaches have put them in that position. These guys have worked hard and deserve the kudos. Congratulations to the players and coaches. Just remember we have tough battles ahead and there is much more that we can accomplish. Well done.

The only difference, to me,

is that we finally have players capable of executing. The coaching hasn't really changed, for the most part.

As long as Dak keeps extending plays

With his legs we are going to be tough to defend. When he is on the move out of the pocket he is at his best.

Yeah and Dak said they had a good idea of what was coming most times from film review. Nice job of mixing it up, Chavis.

Make sure you bring pressure, and let those DBs turn their back to the best dual threat QB in the SEC.

My main concern like everyone else is Mullen's tendency to get too conservative with a big second half lead. In the past with Relf, Lee, or even Russell who were a bit shaky at times I might understand it. However he needs to put his trust in Dak to still throw it a bit and try to extend those leads rather than sit on it.

I agree. That play was crucial to maintain the momentum.

that team had a laser focus for 3 1/2 quarters. very well prepared. it was clear that mullen had that game circled for a while.
