Did we not host in 2003 or 2004? I could swear I bought tickets and watched Maholm pitch vs MTSU and we choked one away vs UNC.
no hatfield it is actually just seeing the obvious early on...same old **** different year... and there is really no damn explanation for it.. former MSU player with a great coaching resume comes here and finally has top 10 talent and we just can't punch the 17ing button... that's really all there is to it... and it makes NO 17ing since what so 17ing ever...

My preseason post said exactly the same thing. Our biggest obstacle would be John Cohen.
We aren't some measly *** team. We had them beat and completely fell apart. Get that ******** out of here.

Errors and pitching have caused our 3 losses. And you can now add to that Demarcus Henderson or unclutch 17'ng hitting!!!

And now our pitching is slipping a bit.
And John Cohen can't get out of his own damn way.

Will James was ready to put Cohen on the hot seat after 3 SEC series last year, saying he should be coaching for his job this season....but he and many others failed to realize we were playing Top 10 teams in those series.
It's way too early to panic.
Let's see what adjustments Cohen makes for the rest of this series and going forward before writing off 2013 when we're 18-3. Like someone in another thread said....it's better to slump early in the season than late in the season. Besides, we haven't beaten LSU in a regular season series since 2006. No reason to think we would start beating them again when they are ranked #3. I just hope we can at least get 1 win....2 would be enormous.

I agree and wouldn't be completely surprised if we wind up a 2 or 3 in someone else's regional actually.
Next 3 weeks we are 3-6 in SEC or worse.... Really, really, hope I'm wrong.

The teams we have lost to are a combined 33-3 and both are Top 12 in RPI right now. One of them is ranked #3 in the country. Two of our three losses were in extra innings. Oh NO! We're DOOMED!

Most MSU fans, honestly, are tired of being on the losing end of it all. It should be LSU fans or UCA fans talking about how MSU is #3 and a combined 33-3. I mean, ****, we have played 20 of our 21 games at home.
But we're not. We're 18-3 and basically gave the other team 3 wins. That's hard to take. Especially when every single ******* game counts come regional hosting time.
