UL has nearly beaten Clemson twice. Clemson has not looked great this year and UL just destroyed FSU. I'm picking UL to win the Atlantic now which happens to be the toughest division in the country...

I would not be surprised if Louisville does win that game because I think they're both very good. I just gave the nod to Clemson because it's at Clemson.

And yes that's the best division this year. It's better than the SEC. The conference only has Bama, which is common.

Of course you are. You are a Louisville fan. Why not directly identify yourself as such?

the fall will be really painful..Hosta Los Vista Jtown..Smoketown
Why will it be painful? It takes a lot of things going your way to make the playoff and winning it all. Cards are not the favorite to win it so it's just great just to have the chance. That's all a fan can really ask for.

They are a gimmicky team that will be figured out. Unfortunately this is one of the most down years in many years. They picked a good time to be decent. In a regular season a gimmicky team doesn't make the championship series.

I'm sorry, but what makes the 1 back 4 receiver HUNH offense Louisville any more gimmicky than the1 back 4 receiver HUNH offense any more gimmicky than the one tOSU, Clemson, FSU, UK or all the other 100 or so teams who are running 1 back, 4 receiver HUNH offenses? Just because Jackson looks like he is a college kid playing against grade schoolers doesn't make it gimmicky.

Clemson, Houston, and maybe Miami...

I thought for sure FSU would start pooping on the party, but they just pooped.

Clemson has the QB, talent, and Staff.

Houston has one of the best QB HC duos in the country.

Miami has the athletes, and Mark Richt is no scrub.

UL is a top team but I just don't see them running the table.

And how is this a down year? Alabama is still on top. OSU has totally reloaded and teams like Louisville and Houston are beating the top dogs. Then you got traditional powers Texas, Tennessee and Michigan back in the top 15. This is a awesome season. This is not hoops where the best players are gone after one or two years. College football is always loaded with great players and teams.

If Cards lose at Clemson and Clemson loses at Fla. State there is still a formula for UL to win the Atlantic.

Louisville made FSU quit today, one of if not the worst beating they have ever taken. With Jackson healthy no one is a sure thing to beat Lousiville, FSU put as athletic defense as anyone in the country will put on the field and he made them look silly. I know many here don't want to admit it, but Louisville is dang good this year, they may not run the table, but I don't know if they will be underdogs in any game this year.

Jackson is good but Petrino had guys running wide open and gaping holes to run through all day, his scheme is next level amazing

If he became coach of Kentucky the week before the UL game this year, we might actually win

Same here. They have the most obnoxious fan base ever.
Not even close but when it comes to UK I can see why Cards fans might want to be as obnoxious as possible. After all, we're always referred to as little brother, we had to listen throughout the latter years of the 20th century as a ghetto school. It took finally playing and beating UK in the NCAA tournament before they would agree to play us. When the football series began we had to play at UK only until PJCS was built. This despite big time programs playing us at old Cardinal stadium. Back to hoops, UK got to play a home game each year at Freedom Hall yet when the Cards would play at Rupp we would only get a few hundred seats. Then when UofL went and got Pirino UK fans treated him horribly that first game back at Rupp and continue to this very day.

I could go on and on but we all know it doesn't matter. All teams have obnoxious fans. Cards fans just happen to live so close to UK fans. Even in our own city.

In "your own city"? Louisville is in Kentucky. Perhaps UK fans in Louisville don't appreciate having to deal with your kind in their own STATE. My philosophy is that a state flagship school should always take priority over a ghetto commuter school, even in the city of the commuter school in question.

You have a very severely slanted perspective on things my cardinal rival. You play the "woe is me" card, not going to work.. Your program has earned all of the nicknames they have been given and more. From, "Little Brother" to "Ghetto School" to "Win at all Costs U"... Just admit that you have a program full of troglodytes who will do everything, including killing their own mother to win over UK. It is sad but true. Oh yeah, and I could go on and on, but hell, I am sure you wont see it and we will bore people.

How nice. How about those UK fans moving out of Louisville and getting away from our kind? It's a big enough state.

How about Louisville fans moving out of Louisville instead? Then, there could finally be a sighting of a Louisville fan someplace other than Louisville itself. Let's face it, the sight of a Louisville fan anywhere in the world other than Louisville is as rare of a sighting of the dodo bird. Wouldn't it be nice to expand your fanbase, if that's what it can be called, out of one 5 mile radius?

Listen theres a reason why every first 3 weeks of the semester that the UL administration warns women about sexual abuse on campus while walking to their cars, in fact their have been already 2 this year in 3 WEEKS. I'm sure those aren't Louisville men though...... You go past 6th street and its dirty af. Only reason anyone goes past 13th ave is to get drugs. We all know this in Louisville and if you disagree you're obviously not paying attention to the facts. Where we have I believe 88 murders and about 90% are in the far west end.

Plus Pitino gave the finger to the crowd last year at Rupp, at any other respectable institution he would have been fired at the end of the season, not to mention after Whoregate. Dudes a prick and I've ate dinner with him in his house.

they were on the sports channels all day long. the whole nation knows what UL is up to.
So , that doesn't matter to me . I'm a UK fan not a UL hater , I think some want to use UK to hate on UL . Many Louisville fans hate UK more than they like UL , looks like we have the same type of fans . Must be a product of living near cardinal fans .

There are more UK fans in Louisville than UL fans. Majority rules.
False. Louisville fans make up 65%. More UofL licensed automobile plate sales than UK sales and UK had to pull out of the yearly basketball game because of a lack of interest with 50% or worse capacities. Why is this myth still spread around?

Be careful all, if you say anything positive (objectively) about UofL (especially out of frustration your team/program is getting out-classed in every category by them), you will be labeled "a Troll," "not a true UK fan," and be told to just go join Card Nation.

You would have to be unrealistic to say that ul is not special this year. They have what every good team needs, a playmaking QB that can carry them on his back if need be. I don't like ul at all but the Fla State game was the eye opener. They need to hope that Jackson stays healthy and doesn't get blindsided on one of his runs. That would change their team completely if he got injured.

So the NFL Draft isn't a good indication of a team having more talent?

OVERALL talent. Beyond that, and assuming you're talking about draft projections, we are a very young team. Of course we don't have as many draft projections. The biggest difference between these teams isn't a talent disparity, but a huge coaching disparity. I'm paying your team a compliment. Take it.
