Watched 16 years of Pitino teams and the years of Mack and we couldn’t even get a even home game whistle.

I think the next coach absolutely has a solid core of Johnson, Clark, James, White, Huntley-Hatfield, Glenn, Williams, Traynor and Okorafor that he can work with. I would say Evans in place of Okorafor but Evans’ future is unknown. A guy like chris beard would do wonders with the rotational pieces I listed. His roster at ole miss right now is very similar

It’s Payneful! I love our team and our players! And, I suspect the recent improvement we’ve seen is ALL player led. We’ve got some dudes and some good role players and every single game I watch I keep thinking…what could a decent coach do with these guys. It’s such a waste!!!

Sure, we’re not good at defense but that’s because our coach doesn’t prioritize it and doesn’t have a scheme and doesn’t know how to coach it. He also doesn’t pull players when they defend poorly.

I hope every one of our guys comes back next year. The only personnel losses I want to see are on the coaching staff….all of them.

So UK fans denying blatant cheating is bad, but Louisville fans doing it is ok? So what’s the difference in UK and Louisville fans then? I hate cheating rather it’s for my bitterest enemy UK or my most beloved UofL. I won’t make excuses for it when I see it because it harms the innocence of the game.

If Payne stays we won’t hold on to all those players. Like I posted before after this years disaster the Louisville program won’t have any body on the bench except walk-on’s. We will become an intramural team.

Yeah, I didn't say you hold those players if he stays. What I said was they are probably all gone if he leaves. JLewis was talking about what the next coach inherits. The next coach ain't inheriting this roster. Again, I'm not saying this roster is worth keeping Payne either.

He's already convinced BHH and James to stay with him 2 years. We don't know how the others feel about him.

I think less guys leave if Kenny stays than if he goes, but does that really help us given Kenny couldn't win with this roster? Either way it's a horrible situation. I hope we see a major change at the end of the year.

Unless Louisville hires a home run coach the players will leave whether KP stays or goes. Players trying to get to the next level aren’t going to stay around with a coach that can’t win I don’t care how much he tells them he loves them.

A coach has to be multidimensional. Even more so in today's environment. One of the initial tasks is putting a balanced roster together. Not only by position, but by the many abilities needed(such as point guard, shooter, tenacious rebounder, shot blocker, defensive, ). One other aspect is that of experience level. You get too many freshman or even sophomores, you will not do well. Transfer seniors, and even transfer grads make a nice blend. You should limit "projects" to one.
