Greg Schiano is obviously much different as Rutger’s leader since his return. Many people other than fans especially the media see that change.
That did not seem to be the point of the OP, but you seem to have to get your digs in on him and Rutgers, like your Wagner comment in another thread- al the while, SEC teams play equal to lesser cupcakes. The point of the OP is he is not as intense or micromanaging as he was the first time. He seems content to let his coordinators run their units. Does he have overall say on the tone- probably. But he does not seem that involved in the defense much as all, and it appears he lets Kirk run the offense.Maybe
Still waiting for evidence of red zone offense vs good team.
Need to see a real game vs OSU

This poster is one of the 15-20 who never post something positive even in a win. They look to find reason to take away from the moment. What do you consider successful? This season 6 or more wins and a Bowl bid is success.Maybe

So, I can understand the desire for a great in-season game. Are you saying that you would be okay beating OSU and going 4-8 or 5-7? Or do you want that and the bowl?I posted about Monongai leading B1G, and RU defense being in top ten - and the pass defense in top 5.
I posted about OL being much better blocking and Wimsatt being a better QB.
I like Greg being back to speacial team catalyst with blocks
Those are all true but RU is still closer to mediocre than good
I'm not bipolar about football
Loses dont make me cry and throw things and winning doesn't send me into space
I'd rather have a great in-season game than a medicore bowl
You talk out of your *** a lot.Its science - RU has had poor red zone for 15+ yrs
Could never beat WV in BE and OSU just crushes RU every time
RU played TWO winning teams this and year and lost to BOTH.
Wagner is horrible and no SEC team plays anyone with a 3500 seat (exaggerated) stadium and average attendance of 2k.
RU made nice strides and deserves a bowl but objectively RU is still on a climb.
Louisville was a nice game but not so epic its still all that people can crow about 17 years later
Ashokan just can't get Deion's knob out of his mouth. You talk out of your *** a lot.
While not SEC, WVU played Duquesne this year, and Florida State played Duquesne last year, and TCU in 2021. Their stadium holds 2,200.
Newsflash- OSU has crushed Indiana, Maryland, Wisconsin, Iowa and many other B1G teams that have been playing in the B1G (or ACC in Maryland's case) for many years. Maryland had a semi-competitive game last year- whoopty doo.
You cherry pick your facts and **** them out on Greg and Rutgers. I see you did not mention Michigan. Agenda, much?
Newsflash- Michigan has not lost to anyone this year or any B1G teams in 2022, and only to Michigan State in 2021--would you rather Rutgers be Michigan State? See how cherry picking facts on slippery slopes work. You have some sort of weird agenda/hatred for Greg and it comes out a lot. That's OK- just admit to it.

The bipolar people are those that say they watch the game and never see anything wrong. Reading the threads from yesterday during the game the most unhinged guy was @Knight Shift who posted a ton yesterday yelling at fans who were making current observations. I don't understand the stupidity of posting while the game is actually on!I posted about Monongai leading B1G, and RU defense being in top ten - and the pass defense in top 5.

That’s just what he does. He may know more ( doubt it) but he does attempt to place everything into a “ they still haven’t done this or that”. We all understand the teams shortcomings on offense but we are averaging 28 + . Imagine when we find that passing game. You talk out of your *** a lot.

Post it so all can see . I have a list of 15-20 …you notice less posts of negative BS the past several weeks .Well I have a list of those who hate him.
lol NOGreg Schiano is obviously much different as Rutger’s leader since his return. Many people other than fans especially the media see that change.
Not what the fans on the IA board think.Schiano is a fundamental football coach in the mold of Ferentz at Iowa. I knew he would get the team competitive eventually. The difference is Iowa as a school seems to understand what and who they are. The only reason Ferentz is still there is because their expectations are grounded in reality. Most schools don’t get that and think their teams should be winning championships without a clue of what is involved with that.
He will most likely be here at least 4-5 more years . If the team shows that upward trajectory as we hope Greg will probably sign a new extension. Are love and hate the only options? I don't think it's wise to either love or hate coaches. They're hired to do a job. Either they do it well enough or they don't. If they do well enough, they might get hired by some other organization with much deeper pockets.
Yes, GS is different than his first time around. He's a smart guy and is always learning. So he's not gonna be exactly the same person this many years later. He's having a good season and the program is showing good progress.
But it remains to be seen if this is a one-season thing or not. To earn respect, to keep his job, he's going to have to regularly get the team to bowl games.
I agree with those who mention the bipolarity of fanbases. Maintaining an even keel through success or failure is preferrable, to me at least, than getting too high or low in any given moment of a season, or a rebuild.
Everything is all good at the moment, 6-2 and headed for the first bowl game in years. But if we lose out the rest of the season, which is probably about 50/50 odds or better, then everything won't feel quite so good. I'm not getting to high now and won't get too low if we wind up 6-6.
The games have been entertaining, for the most part. So I hope that continues and it would be great to grab another couple wins.
Would be very frustrating to desire that level of control in things over which you have no control at all.You were given two… only two options…. Love and Hate… pick your poison …
I don’t know about your BP however mine is fine. Two choices… Love or Hate … not a difficult question to answer.Would be very frustrating to desire that level of control in things over which you have no control at all.
The internet is a rough place for control freaks. Be flexible, it's good for the blood pressure.
Neither. I don't love or hate coaches or entertainers or politicians, etc. Never form attachments to any of them.I don’t know about your BP however mine is fine. Two choices… Love or Hate … not a difficult question to answer.![]()
