so we are holding him out so he doesnt get injured? he is likely to get injured in ANY game, so in my opinion sitting him out is redundant
Well, I don't think we should act like his shoulders 100% . I think a chance to give it more rest and time to strengthen them before the Alabama game is a good idea.. I had a lingering shoulder problem many years ago and know how quirky they can be.

i guess, i just think if its really a coin flip for them to get reinjured why not just play every game and hope for the best, if hes that fragile where you can only play a select amount of games he should hit the road

Let's be honest for a second if Pope played him in a game that we can probably win easily without him and he was to get entered. Can you imagine the outrage.

I want to believe JJ is the guy here and Aberdeen can be the secondary pg on the floor at the same time. But when he drives I feel like he doesn't have the handles or vision.
JQ goes everywhere with a ball in his hands, I say pope invokes the same with Denzel and JJ.
Think this was on the movie the program, learn to love it.

This is going to be all season with Lowe. After our PG shoulder injury last year, you think Pope would have gotten a backup pg this season. Sometimes smart people like Pope have little common sense. Why he ruled out unequivocally trying to get a mid season transfer is beyond me. But here we are. Bellermine shouldn't be an issue, but this issue is going to bite us in the azz this season.

Obviously not ideal, but it’s the hand we’ve been dealt at this point. I’m definitely not confident he’ll make it through the SEC schedule without re-injuring the shoulder either way, but we need him for as many of those games as possible. Sending him out there against a team currently ranked 262nd on Kenpom doesn’t make a lot of sense from a risk/reward perspective.

Resting per KSR
I get it. It seems wise, of course, but we need the full group to play together as much as possible for everyone to gel and understand how they fit together to form our the best version of THEMselves. Hopefully Lowe will get enough rest to allow him to be ready and 100% for the rest of the year.
GO CATS !!

I better see Aberdeen today to be a willing passer if he's going to play the 1. If he is not and dribbles too much, Pope better bench his azz fast. I don't care if its Bellermine. He needs to install discipline. He needs to start removing those bad habbits.

I don't know if this is true because they're not saying anything about that on the official pregame show even Pope didn't say anything about it

I mean he could be resting but Buzz asked hope specifically about minute restrictions and whatnot with him and Pope didn't say anything about he's sitting today

Lets say this is true (tho I suppose an argument can be made that resting just might make injury LESS likely in the future), if that's the case then it's just one less game on the schedule he can injury himself in and that in and of itself.........is good lol.

It's frustrating I get it. This is going to afffect him all season long...........we'll just have to manage tho.

I was thinking along the same lines earlier .... and did a little reading. That's not really the case. The damage was already done at the initial dislocation and just rest on its own historically does not reduce the likelihood of reinjuring it. Really needs surgery for that. The tissues in the shoulder have already been torn out of place and simple rest won't put them back into place to make the shoulder more secure and stable.
