LSU has the ball up by one with a minute to go. Instead of getting the ball to Simmons, they iso Quarterman for a forced, off balance shot.

Nc State got screwed by bad rules. He was getting fouled before the clock hit zero..... how do the rules not take something like that into account?

Got a question. How come that foul on LSU didn't count if it occurred before the shot clock violation? Obviously the shot didn't but the foul did.

LSU totally mismanages the end of game situation and it goes to OT. Turrible. Just Turrible coaching. Perfect example of over coaching. Should never have called the first timeout.

The reason they don't want Simmons taking a jump shot to end the game...... is because he's not a good shooter at all.

Wasn't the whistle blown for the foul before the violation? He definitely fouled him before the shot clock ran out. Looks like to me NC State should have been shooting two.

LOL ... should of sent their son to UK. He'd of actually had a shot at a national title then.

Johnny Jones is the worst. What a choke of a coach. Nothing against him personally but man he has had talent the past 2 years and has done absolutely nothing with it! If he can't make the tournament with Simmons and company, he literally is the worst coach in the country.

Couldn't agree more! Don't know where he is getting where poythress isn't a shut down defender. And I also highly doubt Simmons scores 40. If he does I'll be worried.

To be fair, they have two starters out. Will be a totally different team when they why those two back.

Not sure the past two games really tell you anything about LSU or how good they may or may not be be

If UK would pay the 15 million dollar buy out for Miles, LSU fans would happily hand us Simmons in a trade. Thats how little they care about basketball.

Since it happened to NC State, I wasn't screaming at the TV, but I was wondering the same thing. Abu clearly got fouled before the clock hit zero. Seems as though the officials should have just called a foul and had him shoot two free throws instead of calling the shot clock violation. If the rules are written to where they had to call a shot clock violation there because the ball was still in his hand when the shot clock hit zero, it's a very poorly written rule and needs adjusting.

Good for the Pack that it didn't end up mattering. Also thought the last foul on Simmons was pretty awful as well.
