There were open receivers. The O-line was shoddy and the few times they actually protected, Bo was too rattled to go through his progressions.
Yesterday I decided I was done defending our pass D. It's below average, and the depth of players we play doesn't help. UK, like A&M, dropped a number of passes which they probably should have caught.

I agree 100% with Rockstar. The way to improve our pass defense is with pressure on the qb. Towles is a smart and talented qb that will pick u apart if given time and isn't easily rattled. 3 men rushing has got to go if we're gonna win out. Bama's qb is young and Beaux has always choked if u pressure him.
I said the same thing walking out of the stadium. I had defended us for all the other games, but you really can't defend what happened last night. A big gripe for me is why are our 4th and 5th safeties ( Evans and Coman) in the game with 4 minutes left and kentucky is driving to cut it to a 1 score game?
Agreed. Or on the 2nd possession of the game. I think we have more depth in the front 7 than in the secondary. We need to start letting the starters in the secondary get more snaps or change up the way we mix our substations back there.
I don't like the fact that we give up so many passing yards either, but I wonder if it's not a matter of trying to develop some of the young guys that didn't get great coaching in highschool. I guess what I'm getting at is maybe our coaches are putting these Coman and Cleveland type players into games in order to accelerate their development. That's the cost of bringing in guys that are loaded with raw talent but undeveloped. Maybe I'm an idiot, but that's the only way I can make sense of it.
We ended up with what, 6-7 sacks? Our pass rush is elite. We need safeties who will actually help our corners out.
