they're on fire. Some of their fans around here are uneasy because they are scalding hot in March/April instead of May/June.

I will say again, big gap between LSU/Vandy and the next team.

We gave away the series with lsu. While there is a gap, I don't think it's huge. If woodruff keeps pitching like he did tues, the gap is closing even more. Vandy and lsu don't beat themselves (walks, hit batters, errors) like we do at times. If we play smart, we can play with either of them

LSU has not lost since we beat them 10-2. I dont know about you guys but I just get this feeling that come early to mid-May this team will be clicking on all cylinders. Healthy Lindgren, more definite lineup, and I think either Woody or E Mitchell will snap out of it as our Tues starter.

I know this is very optimistic but I think we sweep TAMU and AU and lose the Mayors Trophy game. Which I am fine with. Get some confidence rolling into a tough stretch in Vandy, OM, BAMA, and SCAR. Hopefully can win at least 2 of those series.

I hope we have it clicking by the Vandy series. I will be attending with a bunch of Vandy friends. That is going to be some great pitching. Vandy is ridiculous.

I guess Cohen was right. Kentucky is not that good. 11-1 loss. 9-1 loss. 6-1 so far.

I'll get bashed for this, but

Cohen was right. We are a better team than Kentucky, and I'd say we are just as good as Arkansas and LSU. LSU may have a little leg up on us, but we still should have taken 2 of 3 from them. We have had a few unfortunate games that just haven't gone our way. Literally if we make 3 plays more than we have, we could be looking at going 9-3 today. But that's baseball. We didn't make those plays and we are where we are. But talent wise, we are better than them.

Kentucky is a team that's custom-built for their home park -- with the 3 lhp(to take advantage of the short porch in right) -- as well as their lineup being chock full of left handed pull hitters(same reason). They won't be nearly as effective on the road this year. They have never been under Henderson...

2012:
11-4 home
7-8 road

2011:
7-8 home
1-14 road

2010:
9-6 home
4-11 road

2009:
7-8 home
5-10 road

Lsu has better starting pitching than us right now. If woodruff gets his head back on right and lindgren comes back strong, then we're on their level

Yep. Woodruff is the key for us in my mind. If we can get him right then we have a shot at something special. If not, we may not get out of a regional.

I will be the State fan with a black and gold entourage. Ther baseball fans are a tad better than their basketballs fans. Not by a tremendous amount though.

My only experience has been when State has gone there. So it's limited. But they ***** and moan a lot to win as much as they do.

Geez. Their basketball fans are the absolute worst.

I hate going to that gym

I went 2-3 years ago when they hosted a regional. It was the same year that we won the Georgia Tech regional. Their stadium is smaller than ours and extremely quiet. I felt like we the only people there with a flask of whiskey.
