I am listening to the game, but could someone tell me the rule that explains why when the batter just struck out and the pitch passed the catcher, the runners couldn't advance.
I would think on a pass ball, the batter would be out because the bases were loaded, but the runners onboard should be able to advance on a passed ball, just like a triple steal in that situation.

Because the ball hit the batter on the back foot, and he swung at the pitch, he was out.
