Sweet! Whether this new “reporting body” has any real teeth is another matter (and it most likely doesn’t).

This is nothing more than and LSU advertisement.

Hard to get in trouble when there are basically no rules, and the rest get wiped out by a friendly judge. Exhibit A: Bama trotting out a failed NBA player.

Supposedly multiple sports but not including football. Why would you systematically not report NIL deals across multiple sports but report them all in football?
I don’t know why they are being asked to report the NIL deals. The NCAA will enforce nothing since there are no legitimate rules at this point. Everyone knows that the vast majority of the NIL deals are simply pay for play. They are not real contracts that require the athletes to do anything additional to showing up.

LSU isn’t the only school being tied up in this. And yes, if proven could carry severe penalties as the CSS was put in place after the Rev share ruling. All schools participating in Rev share have to report these deals outside of REV share. This isn’t the ncaa this is bigger
Because crippling the women’s volleyball team with sanctions will give the appearance of accountability, and allow the CSC to somehow justify its existence.
Theoretically, that would also would set a soft precedent on what type of teeth the CSC has legally. If they levy huge sanctions on a non-revenue sport, the onus is then on LSU to invest millions into defending it to prevent the old slippery slope from coming into play….because there isn’t much other reason to actually spend that money.
I do, however, expect them to fight it tooth and nail, the CSC will be rendered toothless by a higher court at some point, and that will fully open the kimono all the way.
