they got down 15-2 last week and still made it a joke of a game.

It's always tough to beat SP in late November no matter who is considered to be more talented. Mental advantage can go a long way in big time, pressure-packed ballgames.

Honestly, look at their roster and tell me how OB lost to SP. I don't know, but they did.

I'm not betting against SP.

but obviously not much else b/c they lost to all of the good teams they played this year and the games weren't close.

...two outstanding defensive ends/tackles and speed to burn at the corners and safties. You add all that up and it should equal a championship. But yeah.. I agree. They didn't perform well this year.

Funny, when I was there early in the year some OB homer was going through every member of their coaching staff telling me how great each guy was.

its a BCS school factory and they still can't beat South Panola and have now lost 2 in a row to MC.

South Panola's defense looks better than ever. I'm picking South Panola in a close one.

Madison Central hasnt seen a defense like Panola's this year. Last week Panola held Clinton to NEGATIVE rushing yds while gaining over 550 total yds of offense. If MC wins the game it will be due to Bobby Hall's coaching .

If the talent is roughly equal, I say MC wins. Bobby Hall >>>>>>>>>>>> Lance Crooms-Pogue. The only game we've played this year where talent was close enough for coaching to factor into it was MUS. And everyone who watched it knows how badly we got outcoached in that one. Our defense is ridiculous, and I think we can hold the MC offense. The real question is how badly Dominic Carruthers is hurt. If he can't go, look for us to struggle on offense. He's easily our best RB and should be the feature back. But Pogue doesn't see it that way, and got him hurt late last week trying to run clock and run up the score. No excuse for him being in the game up 4 TDs with a minute to go. Same thing he did to Parker last year in Round 2.

I'll pick them. I think it will be very close. MC has not played a team like South Panola this year, and they need to be focused. MC almost beat South Panola last year, but lost because David Renfroe made a tremendous play. Or at least that was the difference in the game- kudos to them.

Since Carouthers is less that 100%, that should help MC. MC's weakness from having watched them play is their secondary. They can be burned from time to time.

renfroe made the unbelievable 4th down play and made another earlier on a long 3rd or 4th down. i think MC wins this year - they're simply loaded.

i really wish this game was on tv, since i can't go to batesville friday. if it was in madison, i'd be there.
