Don't know his name but he could start now for our dawgs. Kicked every kick into or through the endzone last night against Heritage. No wind either, kicked a 40 yarder that would have been good from 55. Blows my mind we can't find a kicker no better than we have. On a side note Baker Swedenburg has done a excellant job punting. I will take a 40 yard avg with no return on every punt every time.

Agree, I remember a few years back there was a kid that was from around here that went to UAB and he was pretty darn good that we didn't pickup....hope something changes. Glad the Dawgs got the W though!

What Dan needs to do these next three games is figure out who our kicker is. We're lucky that we have an opportunity to find one before it's too late. I would try Canfield from Virginia- I've heard good things about him, and then we have Brian Egan, and we're trying to redshirt Evan Sobiesk and Sean Broccoli's brother. But, honestly- I wouldn't care if we burned their redshirts if we have to.

We have some options- but it's clear that Devon Bell isn't ready at this time. He's just a freshman, and maybe if we have an opportunity with a big lead late in a game we can give him another shot to maybe make one. And maybe he can do the job, but it's not now. He can still do kickoffs- he does a good job with that.

We should hold campus-wide open tryouts on Monday. There's no excuse for not having a kicker in Year 4. Mullen needs to hire a ST coach. Or at the very least, let The Kang evaluate kicker recruits, because Mullen himself clearly can't. If we don't solve the issue quickly, it'll be a disappointing season, because we won't win any close games.

Swayze Waters from Prep. And his family are Bulldogs!! And he damn near beat us by himself as a punter for UAB a few years ago. Woody McCorvey passed on him. Woody say 'I don't recruit academy boys.' That's real enlightened thinking there. We are talking about punters and kickers. By the way, two kickers starting for Ole Miss and Central Arkansas last week both graduated from Washington School.

Not doubting you, but hangtime is just as important as distance which is why some high school kickers that kick it out of the endzone "every" time can't make it in college. The one kick that doesn't go that gets received with coverage not even getting to the 40 will earn you a spot on the bench.
