Speed kills, and having a good defense is icing on the cake.
Magna Vista looked good. The MV QB is best I have seen this season. I loved the MV no huddle spread offense. When ref blew ball ready for play, MV was already lined up ready to snap ball. No wasting time in a huddle.
Can't wait to see tomorrow's outcomes. Should make for some interesting matchups when brackets cross next round.
I'm just really disappointed in the vhsl rankings, didn't make any since to me why WA was number 1. MV is the best team in west, with all the returning starters pretty much from last year, MV should have home field advantage next week but will prob have to travel 4 1/2 hours to play. MV would beat LB by at least 3-4 touchdowns. MV lost to 2 4a schools away from home. VHSl gave them no respect.
Great win by the Warriors. The defense played lights out and the offense was clicking early. Congrats to Staunton River on a great season and making it this far, especially after going 2-8...and I must say that the single wing is pretty fun to watch. Looking forward to carrying the Lethal Offense and the Blue Funk Defense on the road next week, and even though I'm sure it will be a tough game, hopefully we can continue our march back to Liberty......Go Warriors!!!
I thought turning point of game was on coin toss. SR won toss and elected to receive. MV got a stop and went down field and scored. Always defer when winning toss. Better to get ball at start of 3rd qtr than 1st.
I think he means Staunton River dug themselves in a hole from the jump when they chose to take the opening kickoff and didn't score. I agree because then they had to play behind and they were screwed from the beginning.
So did you watch game? Where did you see SR having a chance to win? When it was 14-7 ? Either y'all don't know how to evaluate teams or know nothing bout football

Of course I was there, never said Staunton River had a chance to win but when they won the toss and elected to receive and went 3 and out and magna vista scored, that was it.. Game over. Trust me I know football, I just think you're not understanding what I'm saying. Staunton River was done after the opening snap.
I was at game also, when SR took ball and did not score, that was ball game. When you win toss, ALWAYS DEFER.

Nope not at all but them going 3 and out and mv scoring killed any emotion they was playing off of..lol I'm a die hard warrior fan and I feel MV would've won regardless but Staunton River ended their fate sooner than later by electing to recieve.
