He has a bad habit recently of being handed a lead and blowing it.

Today he had a 5-2 lead and gave up five in the fifth.
He had a 5-0 lead on the Mets three starts ago and didn't make it out of the fifth.
A three nothing lead on the Rockies five starts ago and took the loss after giving up 5 runs through five.
A five inning eight run performance got him beat the start before that.

I had high hopes for Paul coming into this year. At 27, he is sort of at a point where either he is a big league starter or he's not. Hopefully he can turn things around and figure out how to hold leads and make it more than five innings.

But it's is a shame....their stadium is one of the best in the Majors. I was hoping that Paul would be traded to a team looking for a quality lefty for a playoff run.

They just don't have enough to contend, so the last few years they have had to trade their best parts to get more, younger parts, and by the time those get good they trade their older parts again....lather, rinse, repeat.
