I have been looking for the right woman for me for quite awhile now. I haven’t been able to find my dream woman and it isn’t from the lack of trying. I’m seriously thinking about looking for a mail ordered bride for a one legged Asian midget. I know it’s a long shot but it’s worth a shot. Has anyone tried a mail ordered bride and what are the struggles in this process?

I’ve worked with two guys that did this, one was completely open about it. She was Russian and half his age. The other acted like they met in college- she couldn’t hardly speak English and he didn’t speak her language, was from Thailand maybe? They eventually had a kid. No clue how those worked out long term but they seemed happy for the few years I knew them.

Careful, one of those countries expect you to support the wife’s family financially. I don’t remember if it’s Philippines or not.
With all the ICE brouhaha going on, I’d say it’s not advisable to look outside and do the fiancée visa stuff.

And if you choose to move outside the US to be with your bride (I’d guess that’d make you the Mail Order Husband), you need to be familiar with the legal setup at your host country too.
Of course, I ain’t a lawyer so who knows how valid my opinion is, but it’s something I’d steer clear of…

I got lucky and found myself an eastern European that's 12 years younger than me. She's now my wife. It's awesome, I'm the exception, not the rule.
My advice, go to the Philippines. Beautiful young woman will throw themselves at you. They'll be looking for one thing...coincidentally you'll also be looking for one thing and you'll each have the thing that the other is looking for.

The Philippines is a different universe. As soon as I stepped off the plane I became a very handsome man. Weird.

Self improvement is important. Look and act the part of being mature, responsible and reliable. Also, volunteer to teach English. There are some good-looking Latinas out there who don't come with the baggage a white sociology grad has.

When I was at State in mid 70’s there was a guy in Evan’s dorm from Nepal. His family back in Nepal made an agreement with some girl’s family for them to be married as soon as he graduated. They sent him a picture and she was reasonably easy on the eyes. He wasn’t real happy about it but apparently had no real choice in the matter other than to end the relationship with his parents. They were going to fly her over here when school was out to meet him but when I finished final exams that semester I headed home and never saw him again so I don’t know what happened. He was a nice guy and was sent over here to major in agriculture so he could eventually return to Nepal and help the farming community.

I knew a guy from Tupelo that went to Russia to get a bride. He paid a company that would arrange to meet these women. He said 30-50 US men would fly to Russia and the company would have like 100 women wanting to marry a US sugar daddy. The company would have social events planned for the several days while the men were there. He said some of the women were very aggressive. He said the bowling party event with some women in mini skirts with no panties was interesting.
He went on several trips to Russian and married a tall slim blonde that was hot. I met her when she moved to the US and can confirm. She spoke a little English. I got the impression she didn't care much for living in MS. Her vision of life in the US was living in a Malibu beach home and shopping on Rodeo Dr. I guess she watched a lot of Bay Watch growing up in Russia.
The guy did tell me she caused quite the kerfuffle when he was playing in a golf tournament at the Ripley Country Club. He took her along and told her to hang out by the pool while he golfed. Apparently Ripley CC frowns upon sunbathing topless at the pool
