I enjoy these interstate matchups, often times more than the local in state games, save for a few rivalries.

Mallard creek defense looked good to me, but the offense is not very good. Coming across the state line, they will need both to show up...I see the game being close 1st half and Gaffney pulling away 2nd half... imo somewhere around 42-20
With that score, you're about to get the whole 704 to come out - it's nothing too new.

Agreed, I especially like the South Pointe vs Shelby matchup. That should be one heck of a game imo.
Hopefully with the fastest kid in the State returning, will give a little boost to the offense.
Since my Wildcats are still in covid protocol, I will be at the game and honestly I'm hoping for great game.

Looks like SC got the best of NC winning like 6 of the 8 or so games between the states when looking at the scoreboard on home page here.
The bigger question is can North Carolina ever beat a team that is not from North Carolina.
