This game is intriguing to me. I don’t think Mallard Creek is a pushover and will be competitive this year. Butler should be really good on defense but not as explosive on offense.

My gut says 24-21 Butler.

Simply no clue how this goes. I have been told by some I trust that I am gonna be pleasantly surprised. My grading scale is less about the scoreboard and more about how MC executes and their physicality now that they have had a real pre-season.

Mostly I am excited about football. Weather forecast seems to be good.............Now if we can steer clear of Covid??

A lot of MC stock is on the Butler sidelines. This game will get the Tinsley hot seat rumor started...I pull for Creek because a good MC and Butler makes charlotte football look more elite. All that being said losing the way Butler did last yr in the playoffs I'm thinking they're looking to make a statement this game.

My gut tells me that Butler wins by about 28 to 35 points, but I hope it is much closer. This Mallard Creek team is very young. While talented, I think it'll take a bit for them to grow, but by years end, they could be hard to handle.

This game won’t be the reason Tinsley gets on the hot seat. Way to early for that. No judgement from last season for me bc of covid and the spring season too many weird outliers that probably never happen again on top of his 1st season as Hc at creek.

I feel bad for offenses going against Butler’s D this season. The starting 11 is going to be crazy talented and lots of quality depth also. Creek defense better be ready to play bc I don’t see how MC scores more than 17-21 points

I think the Butler offense is going to be pretty formidable as well. Coach Hales has told me that this team is further ahead of where he thought they'd be in the season, which doesn't bode well for many teams.

I never like to predict blowouts, but I could see this as a 42-7 kind of game. Maybe I'm dead wrong, in fact I hope that I am and it becomes a 28-24 donnybrook, but I feel this Butler team is just darn-right dangerous.

My gut is telling me 24-21 Butler. I like Butler but their offense isn’t hard to scheme against if they are unable to throw the ball constantly. Maybe they have more of a spread look this year because of the new QB.

Hough and Chambers and maybe a couple of more schools came in and cleaned house from them from what I read.

Butler got 2, along with Providence Day. A guy was teasing me, saying your squad was saying paper or plastic at the check out counter, when taking our players. Win or lose, I’m Creek. This too shall pass.

Hot seat means alot of different things to different people. Its an incredibly difficult schedule. If it is the kind of blow out that some are calling for then you're probably looking at 3 more weeks of something similar and this type of stuff builds a momentum of its own. They go 4 straight blowouts and then face Griener and West Charlotte licking their chops.............UhOh time. I can live with losses but cant live with not competing so we will see. Wins = Talent, Losses= Talent moving. It really is that simple..

If my memory serves me correctly. They were young last year, they are young this year and they will be young from here forward. Is this the end of the earth crushing Mallard Creek that we once knew as world beaters?

Is Julius L. Chamber the new KING?

Come on Man! Mallard Creek has averaged 1 lost a season outside of the 1st season in 2007. That's pretty impressive. They did that with home grown athletes in their district. They got no more new players than Scotland when they played them. They lost 3 games last year, and now we're average. If that's average, than 85% of the teams in the State are average. The team was pillaged by different programs throughout the City preseason., because losing is not normal. So now we're potential below average. lol :) It will be a tough season. Bring back players that left the program, and they're easily top 5 in the State. In regards to players moving into a district. There is no rule to stop it. It is what it is. You can't stop parents from moving. The County teams in NC, are dealt the same hand as teams like Colquitt County in Georgia. Yet Colquitt has no problem beating the breakers off elite teams in Hot Atlanta., with or without transfers.
