I believe the rule states it is ok to live with a cousin as long as your not sleeping with the cousin.

i was in Hoover this week for a meeting and the number 1 rated qb was there from indy and i spoke to a coach of one of teams there and he said it makes a whole lot of difference when i have my front playing. i laughed because i think most feel that way.
I watched Shelby twice. Lots of quick fast kids. QB was good, not great. Provided they have a serviceable Oline they will score.
Remember we are rebuilding after losing 2 of our fastest wide receivers and a QB who threw 61 td passes.
Shelby doesn't rebuild they reload. Always gonna be great kids graduating. Next man up. Any idea where Dax was yesterday?
And Crest might've been the worst team there, period.
Since 7 on 7's show your skill talent, then obviously Crest doesn't have any...and therefore Shelby should kill them in week 12. Looking forward to seeing it!
I also would've looked forward to watching Shelby beat all of the other teams in the tourney, too...but for some reason, Shelby doesn't play any of them? That seems odd for a team with so much skill talent, don't you think? If Shelby wasn't forced to play Crest because they are in the same conference, I wonder who they would schedule instead?

The only other thing I would add is that it really doesn't show your skill talent. Football with pads and hitting is so much different than shorts on and no hitting. Many of these teams play in these tournaments with the goal being to win the thing versus getting ready for the season.
Spartanburg the team that won it plays two 160lb DB's at LB. That's great and it is a great strategy for winning 7 on 7's but you would never line up against a Mallard Creek like that. If you did you would be mauled.
Many teams use a lot of pick plays on offense that would struggle in real football because the defender can be much more physical. 5 yard crossing routes are a little less effective when a 230lb LB can smoke you after you catch the ball instead of tag you.
I enjoy watching athletes compete and I do think it gives your QB some reps but it resembles actual football very little
7 on 7 are good for passing teams. Some programs just don't put much stock into them especially if they are run-oriented.
We have played Crest ever season for the last fifty years.As for our schedule we play 4 of the top ten 3A teams.Remember we are little 2A.
Here is where the debate goes sideways. You jump on a thread titled Mallard Creek and make mention how the Mighty Golden Lions hold there own against the big boy Charlotte schools in touch football. Then when someone mentions your schedule you want to go back to were little 2a and we play 3a schools.
Which is it?? Are you on the same level with big 4a schools or do you want to be excited about beating 3a schools??
If its the former when can we expect you to schedule someone in tackle football? If its the latter then hurry back to the 3a forum and talk the usual trash to Freedom or AC reynolds.

None of those classes want anything to do with Mallard Creek. The only way MC can manage to schedule 10 games is if a 4th of them are out-of-state teams.
Coach Ware would love to play some 4a schools, problem is they dont wanna play a small 2a school.
Dont take a rocket scientist to know how bad it look to get beat or even be close in score, against a 2a school.
No doubt Mallard has become the cream of crop in this area.
But us little schools love to play up..

I dont know why everyone is calling out MC.......as they are the Power House. I wanted to go see them 19 August since I will be 20mins out, but I have committed myself to Fairmont on the same day.
Which is just false. Shelby has been called. " Schedule is full". Mallard Creek is driving 2 1/2 hours to play the 4 time defending 2a champ in South Carolina but they wont travel 45 minutes to play Shelby??? Sell that somewhere else

Shelby has been called the last two years. Check Mallard Creeks schedule. 3 South Carolina teams including Dillon. You think that's by choice??? Butler is the only non-conf game we have in the state of NC. Trust me, there isn't a school in NC that hasn't been tried.

Please Stop! We go through this every year. If Shelby spent as much time scheduling 4A programs in Charlotte as they do Hijacking the 4A threads. They would have played every elite program in Charlotte. Just stay off the 4A board with discussions about Shelby. No need to check with the Coaching staff. Just look @ the schedule. They don't play 4A programs in Charlotte. PERIOD!
All we were trying to say is our touch football team did really well against some big 4A powers of NC and SC.Shelby has less than 900 students and not a single transfer on the football team. Also I'm pretty bored as I wait for football season to get started.Go Lions,Heels, and Panthers.
