I have a pacemaker and it took about an hour. He will feel great afterwards, certainly able to watch a game on TV.

After mine, the Medtronics guy put hislittle mouse shaped controller thing over my pacemaker and said "I'm going to run your pace up to about a hundred beats pre minute." He typed a brief command on the key board of his computer, watched the monitor for a moment and said, "That looks good. Feel anythig?" I said "no" and he said, "I'm going to slow it down to 40 or 50 beats now." (type) "Good - Feel anything?" "No." Hesaid "watch this." He typed a brief line of code in and I started barking like a chiwawa. He watched and then laughed like a maniac - "MMMWWWWAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! We have you under our control now!"

Best $50,000 I evert spent.

I have a pacer. When it was determined that the implant was needed I scheduled 10 days after the cardiologist wanted to do it because of an important wedding in Atlanta. No big deal to put it off a few days if the cardiologist allows it.
