EDIT: In my opinion, he won't be a threat to Russell for the starting position in 2012 but maybe another year here he will be.

*Good idea.Mullen shouldat least let him come in on the last play and kneel on the ball. It would be great experience in that environment.

That Prescott would be battling for and probably taking over the starting QB position by the end of next year, but somehow I wasn't taken seriously. Prescott will play 4 years and TR will be backing up his entire senior season. Been saying since we signed him that he's the real deal and TR's days are limited.

Guy from work still can't believe he chose us over LSU or how we even landed him in the first place. He's a hybrid combination of Ralph and Russell. Ralphs running with the ability to throw (probably already better than TR). Going to be exciting to see what he brings to the field next year.

No.... just no.

Prescott will be probably be pretty good and could beat out Russell in 2012 but until anyone sees him play against a LSU or an Alabama, it's tough to say he'll be a 4 year starter.

but if he really is the type player that everyone is claiming, I can easily see him getting a lot of snaps next year. It seems to me like he'll just be taking over Relf's spot and he'll be brought in during certain situations. With Favre gone, he should even get more reps.

On top of that, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot to the #1 QB spot in Mullen's mind. He plays whoever had the best practice during the week and then no matter who starts, you can pretty much guarantee that you'll see a good bit of two QBs.

tell us how he was right and then total silence when he throws a pick. Example, basketball thisyear, Stans off to a decent start= 34 silence. Soon as stans blows one, he'll appear again and choke us with his righteous knowledge

Even if overall he's not ready to play, his ability to run should allow him plenty of short yardage and redzone work.

Your obsession about Russell has been well documented here for everyone to read. One of your moreinsightful statements was that when State signed Prescott, Russell should transfer to EMCC and find another team to play for. Having not played a snap in a SEC game , I hope the limb you have ran out on does not get to thin for you.
