I don't know about his health but he can hardly talk. I've always liked him, but I think it's time.

I like the guy, even with the mistakes he's made during our games. I'll never forget his call of the Gator Bowl a few years ago, where (Brandon) Heavens ear-holed that Michigan guy on Perkins' TD reception. It's classic, and I'm pretty sure I still have it DVR'd.

At any rate, he looks lke crap. Really pale. Shame for a good broadcasting voice.

Yeah, I like him too

Not sure why there's so much objection to him. He has a very good announcer voice.

I can understand not caring for Vern Lundquist, the Alabama homer, but I think Patrick does a pretty good job.

The objection to Mike Patrick isn't about any perceived bias. I've been a fan of his before this CWS. He is just off of his game, constantly making mistakes. He's getting names wrong and situations wrong. It's like he isn't even paying attention.

There is objection, because he is a moron. He made at least 10 mistakes during our game.

didnt he have to take some time off a few years back ?

because of heart problems? You can definitely tell throughout the broadcast he has moments where he either fumbles names or looks losts. I think he used to be one of the best before his health started going downhill

I remember reading an article on all that Kevin Harlan goes through just to call a mid week NBA game, and he even knows all the players and has a court side view. I can't imagine the preparation it would take to call a tournament of 8 baseball teams you probably haven't laid eyes on until they take the field. I just don't think he has it in him to put the prep in. He actually looks ill.

Sure prep time may be needed for bio info, trends, etc but Patrick is messing up on players names constantly which takes a glance @ a number/name on back of jersey then a glance @ a roster. In our game against IU they were up 3-2 and someone from IU singled and he said "that puts the tying run on first" and they were up one already. That doesn't take any prep. I hate it because he was once really good.
