Or just games. It’s intense. I think Indiana just has a lot more offensive firepower. But I doubt Mendoza has been hit this much the whole season. And it’s still the 1st half.
IU seems to have so much fight in them. The RBs clawing for each yard, the receivers the same. Their defense seems hungry.

Beck is the weakness on this Miami team.
First play double crossing route he went right to it. Then the long run. They made the adjustments

I hate Miami, but I really enjoyed all of their playoff games. I was kind of pulling for them in the second half, even though Indiana is more palatable as champions.

Or Indiana or Miami in a few years. It is all fleeting. When this season starts it will be a clean slate. Yea, some will say Indiana won it in '26 but time will erase it unless they repeat. The biggest claim Indiana has is their unblemished record. I can't believe a team ran the gauntlet undefeated.
Most likely not, especially nowadays. A national title buys you staying power for many years - you are thought of as a program that CAN win a title. How fast that dissipates depends on how you follow it up, I usually say between 10-15 years in this era. 20-25 in the old one. But just making a BCS bowl game (in BCS era) or similar in playoff (or even making it) gets you a little more notoriety, but you're not really remembered. Definitely fun for the fans.
It is funny how people are all making excuses about how Indiana pulled this off. Whereas if it was Alabama they'd just say "yeah they were the best". All that said I do think Indiana has some staying power especially if their alumni truly go all in on football and Cignetti hangs on for 4-5 more years.
According to the portal ranking above Indiana is #1 or #2 on any given day. They have some big shoes to fill but it looks like they are committed. I applaud Indiana but just like any NC whether it be CF, NBA, MLB etc it is only a big deal the year you win it. After that it is just a footnote in the history books. If you want to sustain it get your pocketbook out.
