Kevin Cash said he was close to heading to a rehab assignment, likely the 19th.

The two OFs that got hurt are back up now. I hope he gets to stay up after the rehab

Misner and Simpson have struggled a bit lately compared to how they started. Wouldn’t be surprised if they kept Mangum up in favor of either. Simpson may go down to develop, and they may value Mangum’s versatility as a switch hitter. Misner was kept out of a lot of games because of pitching matchups, though haven’t checked on that lately. Playing him more regardless of matchup could also by why average dropped, if they’ve been doing that

Cash says he *could* be ready for a rehab assignment by next week. Evaluated after the 19th and possibly after that. It says he hasn't made much noteworthy progress in his recovery as of earlier this week.
