If Mack brown's players like him, they'll play well. If they don't, they'll quit and brown will get canned

Hell yeah I would. He'll land on his feet. His schemes aren't cut out for BigX12 football. Just like Chris Wilson's weren't a fit in the SEC.

Last year, yes. Not anymore.

Collins has done about as good as we could have possibly hoped in 2 games.

I think teams finally figured him out.

His stats were bad last season, And looked like they were only going to get worse.

If he can't do the job at the highest income school in the land, we sure don't need him back in Vegas.

Heck, look at all the athletes he had to work with at Texas. (many stars)

Wonder how many are great athletes instead of great football players? Either way, I agree with you

rumor has it, former Michigan D-coordinator GERG

So they upgraded from the guy that showed out during the Gator Bowl...to the guy that got his *** handed to him in the Gator Bowl.
Mack Brown is turning into the Al Davis of the Big Twelve.

Can't blame Diaz. He had a bunch of Kimdashians playing for him that only cared about themselves and weren't a team. He needed to recruit more salt of the earth 2 stars to fit his scheme and play with heart and passion but Mack wouldn't let him and it shows.

Wow, who'da thunk that MSU would catapult a guy's career and Texas would ruin a guy's career.

If Collins left, maybe. But no, not at this exact point in time. He was a good recruiter, too, remember.

I don't know that salt of the earth 2 stars were the answer, but maybe some 3 and 4 star types that Texas simply overlooks. I think Mack's been recruiting strictly by stars lately, ie, lazily. He wasn't doing much evaluation. Letting Manziel and RGIII get away was insane. How do you not at least take a look at those guys? Manziel was like the Texas HS career leader in yards, and RGIII was a 4 star. It's not like they were unknowns.

How much of the 2010 defense had to do with having almost an entire starting string of players that went on (or in Whitley's case, WILL go on) to play in the NFL?

I agree with Texas having a lot more star power than MSU but remove Vaccaro from the picture from last season I don't think they have a KJ Wright, John Banks, or Pernell McPhee. This is where the whole Mississippi high school football vs Texas/Alabama/Louisiana/Florida high school football comes into play. We produce mediocre athletes on the reg that are good at football. Sometimes that's better than getting the 4 stars they get, the most recent sometime being 2010 when we had a lot better players than we realized.

I think a lot of people do not realize how much talent he had on our 2010 team... Chris White, KJ Wright, Pern McPhee, Banks, Cox... That's a whole lot of NFL talent right there. I have begun to think he might not have been the superstar as much as anyone would have been pretty good with that group... well, maybe not our last DC...
