I seriously doubt anyone expects us to win. But, I believe the real thought is to see just how we match up at this point. OSU has struggled at times and if our D is as good as some think, we can make some noise Saturday. Nice to be playing with house money (6 wins) and I will be very disappointed if we don't see both our D and offense let it all hang out.

It would be nice if OSU starts the game the way they did against Wisc with 3 TO's in the first half.

But agree with OP- this may be the most anticipated and nationally watched OSU/RU game ever. Is OSU real and or, "Did Rutgers really just become good and dangerous?" If this ends up a OSU/PSU type game and we do the same at PSU and win at least 1 more- some of the other bowls may actually want to take us

After watching Ohio State last weekend, and a few weeks prior, an absolute priority is that they have to shut Marvin Harrison down. Double him and take him out of the equation. Do that and also pressure McCord I think could help us immensely on D.

tOSU of course gets healthy this week with a few key players back...and, of course, we loose the centerpiece of our D! Typical Rutgers luck, no? We put up the good fight till the end and keep the score respectably close and we've done great in the eyes of a national CBS audience! If, of course, (LOL) we pull the upset then we've done the incredible in the eyes of CFB fans across the nation!!

The problem is that Egbuka is back and he is a handful who was able to step up when Harrison was out.

Rutgers get f**ked with the timing here. Ohio St was more beatable a few 3 weeks ago,

Might be best if we do our talking after the game.

Hoping for the best but don’t know if we match up with them on either side of the ball. We will need turnovers from them in order to compete.

I think Iowa and Maryland are within our ability to beat just playing a good mistake free game. I think 8-4 is very possible and if that happens, Greg wins COY. Ohio St and Ped St right now I think is a bridge too far.

Hopefully after the game ,OSU says that they got jinxed by the Powell replacements playing their best games ever. Hard to believe, but imagine Toure having his best game ever and shaking Mc Cord into multiple mistakes.

Final scores in this 9-game series are UGLY. OSU has scored at least 49 points in every game. The halftime score has never been close.

During every game, regardless of the opponent, I'm always hopeful until it's apparent I no longer should be. I hope RU can remain within two TDs at the half so there won't be a mass exodus before the third quarter commences.

With that said, I think RU will finally hold the Buckeyes below 49, but that will be one of the few positives for the Scarlet Knights.

OSU 41, RU 10

TRU, great point, Powell was playing possessed, will be huge loss.

So……one thing I think we all should be cognizant of…..do any of us think the B1G refs aren’t going to make sure OSU wins? B1G wants OSU in CFB playoffs! If we play well, prepared to get screwed!
OSU won’t need help. I think we will struggle to move the chains and the D will get worn out. PSU’s D held on for much of the game but I don’t think our D is as stout.

Would be nice to cover, but ….

Maybe we call some guys. Maybe he has difficulties getting to the stadium. Hey, I'm just sayin'... ya never know.
Can we get Chris Christie to shut down all the bridges to Piscataway on game day? That will mean OSU will be stuck in N. B.

I expect us to win. We can do this. Team is rested from the bye week, Schiano has a good history coming off the bye week, Gave the coaches extra time to study film and scheme.
We the fans can be the difference maker, If the stadium is full and we are as loud AF we can help our team immensely. These types of games are what Home Field Advantage are all about.
So let's get the tailgates rolling, the booze flowing, the weed a smoking, and let's have one hell of a party on a Beautiful fall afternoon. We can make a difference, Lets go RU!!!!

Maybe Murphy could stand on the side of the road handing out refund checks and slow things to even worse than a crawl.

McCord limped through an ankle injury last week. He still isn’t 100% for this week. Their backup QB was out last week for an injury as well. We could potentially be playing against their third string if we get get to the QB early enough in the game.

Or, we could Gillooly him. I'm sure Jim Harbaugh would find a way. 😁

I just have no faith in Greg vs. Ryan Day from a coaching perspective. I hope I'm wrong, but I think they pick apart and expose our D. Especially if we can't sustain any drives. Like 2 years ago when everyone was hyped up for a potential upset, the start of the game will be very telling. We can't follow our recent pattern of giving up a long TD drive to open the game.

I know it is more about the other guy but we're the first clash mentioned.
