If the Nebraska men's basketball team makes a deep run this March, Tim Miles will be getting some ink.
The Huskers' coach has made a bet with his star player, junior forward Terran Petteway. If Nebraska makes it to the Sweet 16 or further in the NCAA Tournament, Miles will be getting "star" tattoos on both shoulders. It's the same tattoo that Petteway, a projected future first-round NBA Draft pick, has.

The Nebraska men's basketball program has never made the Sweet 16. The Huskers have fairly high expectations this season, though. Miles' squad is ranked No. 21 in the country in both the preseason AP [/I]Poll and Coaches' Poll.

All he did is have the most success a Nebraska team has had in 20 years. Yeah..he sucks. Should fire the only guy who's taken us to the NCAA tournament since Nee.

Get a grip. You don't turn around 100 years of losing tradition in 4 years. Oh, and you don't pay a dime of his salary either.

This actually makes me laugh, cuz if there was ever a troll who claimed not to be a troll during the beginning of the Mike Riley era, this guy was it.

This post proves beyond any doubt what his agenda is, and that is, simply put, to troll. No clue where you're from, TINP, and who your real team is that you support, but there is no doubt who you don't support. We've got enough trolls, but they at least have some supportive words for the teams, whether football or basketball, from time to time.

You can't troll 100% of the time and expect people to think you are a fan. I haven't seen you post anything supportive of the Huskers. Nothing.

I hear what you're saying, but look at it from this perspective...

If you want to participate in March Madness, how can you realize this dream? You can go to an established basketball school and, by virtue of their reputation and talent, win enough games to be selected. The top flight talent does this year in and year out.

You can go to a school in a smaller conference and just win your conference tournament. A lot of really good players will go this route.

Or you can go to a place like Nebraska and take on the competition in the B1G, against big name schools, have a good enough record against top competition, and qualify. We did this last year, but as was evident this year, this is not an easy thing to do. The talent needs to be better when taking on the likes of Wisconsin, Michigan State, Maryland, etc.

Georgia State had to beat the likes of Georgia Southern, University of Louisiana Monroe, etc. I will acknowledge that, after qualifying for the tournament, they did beat Baylor in the opening round, but for them to make the Big Dance, in my opinion, is easier than for Nebraska to make the Big Dance.

The future for Nebraska does look bright, and maybe we can become one of those teams that talented players want to play for consistently, which would translate into playing in and winning "games that matter". We aren't there yet, obviously, but am hoping that we are closer than we realize...
