1. Marcus said he was happy and has had a good life. He laughed alot in the interview. I was happy to hear he is not bitter.
2. He said he chose Oklahoma over Texas because OU played games across the country and Texas played almost all of their games in that State. So the exposure for him would be greater at OU.
3. He and Switzer are on good terms. He talked with the Coach and even Billy Sims on the phone Saturday.
4. He does not talk with Ken Fairly any more. Their relationship ended after the USFL stint. He said his grandmom said "Don't let the same snake bite you twice."
5. He said it was his decision to leave OU, and his mom didn't want him to, but wanted him to do what made him happy.
6. He said people showed up with money during his recruitment but his mom didn't want that to come into play because she didn't want it to jeopardize his career (She was an English teacher, by the way.)
He said the NCAA knew when he slept, ate and got out of bed during his recruitment.
7. He lives in Biloxi and works with the oil spill, and has Tennessee Walkers (I thought he said in Madison County)
8. He said the recruiting part was enjoyable, but the agents knocking on his door 24/7 after he left OU was unbearable.
9. He said he would advise Cam Newton to pray for strength through this ordeal and focus on his team.
10.He thinks the media should report facts but understands they have papers to sell.
11. He has grandkids (I think he has a grandson that plays football.)
Overall, he came across very happy with no regrets with his life.
