You are trying to compare a veteran team playing their 30 something game to the season to a team playing their 9th game, that's just ignorant.

No...its what coaches would do. Coach K did the same thing against Gonzaga at the end. Did not call a timeout. Didn't hear anyone bashing your basketball god coach.

But I guess you know better. Afterall, your from Kentucky. :flushed:

Love San Antonio , love all the military there , but the stuff about " everyone" being content with whats going on is ******** . No one , not a single person I know is happy with the Cats and the current mojo of our program or process as some call it . You seem to think Cal is ok with game management and X's and O's . Most of the guys I hang with who played ball all their life think he's pretty much terrible as a bench coach. Last three years have been well below standards .
I couldn’t care less if you call bullsh*t or not. I’m just telling you the prevailing sentiments among the people I come in contact with.

First of all I detest K, second, our freshman pg ended up getting us a bad 3 pt attempt when we only needed 2 for the win. You may be happy with that, I think we should have gotten a better shot

They would have had to bring ball across halfcourt then called one. So, would've been left with 4-5 second to depend on young guys to execute what you drew up against a defense that is now set. I'd rather take the chance of a higher probability of scoring with defense on their heels & hope that a 19 year that has played basketball forever has surely been in the situation before & has the presence of mind just to go.
To each his own, but I have to think we could have gotten a better opportunity than what transpired. BTW, are you saying Cal was wrong in his post-game assessment that a timeout SHOULD have been called?

Why call a timeout & let the defense get set. If Roy Williams would have called a timeout in the Elite 8 against us no doubt I think we would've won. BUT they did the right thing by not calling it & pushing the ball up the floor with defense out of position they get an open jumper.

The mistake was NOT Cal not calling a TO. The mistake was Hagans not pushing the ball when we had the numbers. He's young & got scared but I think you always have the advantage after a score to catch defense on their heels. If their is more time like 20+ seconds it's a different story....call timeout.

BTW, Coach K says that's the more efficient philosophy. Just saying

I would agree with this but as a coach when you see your player not pushing the ball up the floor you call the timeout. Cal did nothing more than you or I or any of the fans who made the trip, he sat there and watched.
