It's still a switch the NCAA has to flip. It's an actual database
And there are numerous things still at play.

This is a temporary order. It is not a final ruling. There will be more court dates, each of which could overturn this temporary order and make Mitchell ineligible.

Then there is Greg Sankey implying he will enforce the SEC rule that Mitchell did not enter the portal back in April, and thus isn't eligible if he transfers to a SEC school.

It's possible you guys land Mitchell, pay him, and he still never plays. What a wonderful mess the NCAA created.

I almost feel we are at a time where judges don’t care about ncaa rules and would rather base this off of is it unfair and how much money the 2022 class would lose

It isn't a final ruling by a legal standard, but it is by any practical standard. Any meaningful chance to reverse this will not be heard for months.

Depends on the judge. But temporary orders are the easiest solution, bc it can be so easily overturned once the sides present their full cases.

You'd need a completely different court case to deal with Sankey and the SEC transfer rules.

The fun part is if you play a guy bc of a TRO granting him eligibility, and the he is later ruled ineligible, the NCAA can vacate your wins. So literally every game is a roll of the dice until the final court ruling.

The Colorado ruling by Judge Sweeney granted a TRO for athletes to get a 5th year of eligibility on July 31st.

Less than a month later the NCAA was just granted a Stay, ruling all those players ineligible while this continues to play out in court.

Why do you think the court in Kentucky would take months for the next appeal?

Well remember though these 5th year seniors are the real ones causing chaos

Here is where they talk about the SEC rule. I'm pretty sure he had to be in the portal by May 1st here we sit Aug 21st so this might be the biggest hurdle of them all.

Again, Sankey can't let Jalen Washington and Jordan Pope play, but not Mitchell.
