Why would he interview if he's taking a year off? And why would Miami be waiting for his decision before announcing their new head coach?
I think he's going to take either Miami or Virginia.

No surprise if true. I've been saying Richt and Miles, when rumored to be fired, would just as likely take the year off as find another job. It's a grind you know, especially in the SEC so understandable.

To see what jobs are out there and if he's got the fire to start somewhere new immediately. Fifteen years in one coaching position is a lifetime. He might need to recharge the batteries after a year.

That, and is he really a program rebuilder, or a guy who sees a program on the cusp & just waltzes in?

Now Mark Schlabach is reporting that it is NOT a done deal and that Richt is still deciding whether he wants to coach or not, although Miami officials think it's likely he takes the job.

He took Miami. That guy is not a couch potato. He's going to go right after his recruits at GA. And I don't blame him. He's pissed.
