Well since our last thread hasn't migrated over yet (if it ever will) Martha decided to get the group back together to address it:

It hit 90° here yesterday and now it's up to 91°. And because we're up in the hills we're usually 2-4 degrees cooler than lower in town.

Absolutely beautiful beach days the last 3 days. Shore was jumping all weekend. Did not see an open parking spot anywhere in town all weekend. Great holiday but unfortunately looks like we are looking at a week plus of rain on the horizon

Only went up to the beach Friday and today. The breeze coming from the south kept the temp down.

Most didn't hit 90 yesterday so going to be tough for heatwave. Monday looks questionable for 90 if clouds win out but Tuesday might hit low 90s

dealing with Chantel's waste this afternoon ....already some drizzle here not showing up on radar....not everyone will get rainfall today but those who do have the potential for heavy gullywashers

also most of this week the shower chance lingers especiallly late Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Not complete washouts but back to the soup again

Tuesday will be especially brutal with highs 90-95 and heat indices reeaching as high as in the 100s maybe as high as 110

Scattered storms with gullywashers embedded now present in new jersey

91 with peak heat index of 105. Some will achieve that 3rd heatwave tomorrow with a small number reaching it today

And a heat wave it is: just heard from Corey that it's 91° at the house right now. So 3 days at or over 90°.

Let's BOOGIE!

Today more of the same...opppressive....highs in low to mid 90s with enough sun and dews in the 70s possibly approaching 80. Heat indices expected well above 100 perhaps as high as 110. Watch for possibility of late afternoon gullywashers developing from nw to se

Gullywashers?

Like that. Don't hear it a lot around here. More of a midwestern thing.

Heatwave #3

Sunday: 90
Monday: 91 heat index 105
Tuesday 94 heat index 113

Wednesday will come close to 90 and possibly add a 4th day to the heatwave if so it would make it the longest of the 3 heatwaves

Day 4 of heatwave for me

Only 90 and peak heat was 100

May stay in 80s the next few days because of more clouds

The original by Martha and the Vandellas is excellent-- and I've been told it was released during a heat wave -- but the Linda Ronstadt cover is even better.

Got a late high of 90. Yesterday hit 90. Another 90 plus tomorrow and its 4th heatwave of the season
