It's a rivalry game.

We're at home and they are GIVING us 2 points.
And we may not have Carroo and 2/5 of our OL on offense plus our leading tackler, our #2 LB and half of the already depleted young secondary on D (which may force us to start a RB at S again). We can certainly win this game (being at home helps) but you'd have to give me points to bet on it and evidently I'm not alone.

How healthy are they? Last game of the season I would assume most teams have a number of guys out. Particularly teams not playing for much.

Their starting QB was out against Indiana with mono and then their backup didn't play in the 2nd half but their RB had a career day. It is unclear yet which of our LBs will be able to play and who we'll have in the secondary. If Carroo can go, that has to swing at least 3 points in our favor but right now the assumption almost has to be that he's out. We'll see but I'm not at all surprised at this spread.

Laviano throwing for 83 yards a game isn't going to give anyone confidence.....RU needs a 5th year QB to bridge to the next QB and push Laviano to the bench next year, ala Michigan's move of taking Iowa Jake Rudock, who wasn't going to beat out CJ Beathard.

RU with a respectable QB and normal arm wins this horrific matchup comfortably, but then again, they probably would have also beaten Washington State as well....the question is for both programs future's are tied to their QB recruits. Can MD and RU keep their 2016 signees, it is really the only hope for either program down the road.

Hawk, don't you think Rettig can do the job, or he won't get the chance?
Ask that because of your saying a 5th year QB is needed to bridge the gap .

It's down to 1 now.

Because we're at noon,I expect us to be favored as our fate probably won't be sealed-if it is- on Saturday before the 3:30 B1G games.
