I haven’t got it yet and been exposed more times than I can count and been to Florida 4 times the so called hotspot so I think I’ll take my chances and not take the poisonous jabGo visit a hospital and tell the doctors and nurses there it's all a lie, they are scaring the sheep and they aren't really dealing with an explosion of Covid cases right now.

I'm gonna withhold comment on the pros and cons of masks, other than to say I predict a rash of nacho banditry in the concession areas. I recommend a two-handed carry, and having a wingman with empty hands ready to rain blows on any would-be anti-social snackers, and remove that mask.

Some of you may find this interesting. Study on different masks worn and droplets counted from each after a speech.
Spitting while talking is nothing new. Like how some folks get the flu and die and most do not.
Study isn't on spitting while talking, it's how much droplets get through a mask during a speech. Which would tell you if they do anything or not if used properly and which do a better job at least in this one study.

I can tell you at UK this Friday is was 10% unvaccinated and 90% vaccinated and almost all the vaccinated people they are seeing are immunosuppressed or have comorbidities like COPD.
I think we are really talking semantics here. Yes, vaccinated people can carry the COVID virus, but carrying the virus or even testing positive via a nasal swab doesn't mean you HAVE COVID. Each of us carry MRSA on our skin, but few actually develop a MRSA infection.
Actual data does show that if you are vaccinated, the viral load you carry will be smaller than an unvaccinated person. So those persons are indeed less likely to infect others.

No the hospitals around me with people I know work there are giving me this information that is Corbin Manchester and London. The other hospital around me is Knox county but I don’t know anyone that works there so believe what you want I will believe the people I know that works at these hospitals some are vaxxed that I know so they have no reason to lie
I do not think people are suggesting those you know are knowingly lying, but they can certainly be misinformed. According to this report from last week, your general area appears to be a hot spot. Stay SAFE, my friend.
I wonder if community hospitals are keeping the vaccinated patients because they aren’t as sick, and sending the sickest patients - who are more likely to be unvaccinated- to UK, skewing the numbers
I know why there are no beds... a hospital here in Louisville has three floors closed because of staffing issues. A number of staff walked off the job once the vaccine mandate was announced. Several more are waiting to be terminated in Sept, and are utilizing PTO or just flat out not reporting for work.
Typical vaccination rate among hospital staff is about 50-75% across the country, most of that being the administrative side.
Hospitals are drafting emergency contingency plans when their mandate dates hit, and staff still have not complied. Some hospitals are suggesting using the national guard, expecting significant portions of their staff to walk off the job.
Next time you're there, ask them how many beds they have available that aren't staffed. I bet you won't get a straight answer.

I live in a small county of 66k people. It was put out that 100% of the ICU beds were full at the only hospital in the county. Sounds scary, but The hospital has 8 ICU beds. I'm not making light of the virus, but there have been bad flu seasons were the ICU beds were full.
Somehow last winter the flu was damn near nonexistent around here. Makes you wonder?

Without adjustment, overall group rates will go up and affect the vaccinated, so it appears they are trying to risk-adjust premiums.

How many people in public do you see wearing an N95? If you are sitting in a packed stadium with a simple cloth mask, I would like to see your research that says the mask is providing 20% protection from the virus.
We know that the Delta V is shed by vaccinated and unvaccinated, alike. We also know that about 8-10% of hospitalizations for the Delta V are vaccinated patients. Getting the vaccine for this variant does not preclude being a vector for the virus. In fact, because a vaccinated positive may be asymptomatic, that person could spread and never know they were viral.
If trends hold, Kentucky should have plateaued on the DV by the time of the game.
The vaccination rates you cited are pretty consistent with the rate across the U.S.
Now that the FDA has approved the Pfizer vaccine and studies are proving that over 90 percent of those hospitalized with Covid are unvaccinated....at this point they deserve to be fired for refusing the vaccine. In fact, they are a danger to their patients.
