Mass shooting in Leland last night

Went to a Jackson public high school in the middle 70’s. The school was some what ruff and 70% black. I caught this guy steeling my 8tract tape player out of my car in the school parking lot. I told a buddy that I was going to jump the guy that stole. The guy that did the stealing always wore a long leather coat sorta like western style duster coat. The guy that I told I was going to jump the guy that stole and buddy said you better not. He said you know why the guy always wore a long coat because he is always packing a gun.

Natchez High homecoming was last night. The town sounded like Talladega time trails from 6-11pm. People were camped out at Popeyes when I drove past this morning.

If you haven’t been to Greenville and the surrounding areas lately you would not believe you were in the United States. There needs to be some serious conversations had with local and federal government. The level of poverty is enormous and it’s led to uncontrollable crime. I have family there and every time we go visit the trip is shorter and shorter and there are much bigger gaps between trips…

I am 44. Shootings happened when I was younger.

Mass Shootings happened.
School Shootings happened.
Rivalry Shootings happened.
Irresponsible drunk Shootings happened.

You are trying to claim a version of history which is not real.

Someone mentioned there being a common denominator. They are correct- all these mass/public Shootings involve a couple things.
- a total lack of valuing the miracle and fragility that is life.
- easy access to guns.

Yet they keep electing Bennie. Hopefully someone that actually cares about Mississippi and believes in it will step up and work on fixing it. It's so sad for these families. Just because these kids are out doesn't make them all bad. The shooting in Leland today was a drive by. They said families were at the store. Just sick.

Didn’t say anything was “ok.” These situations are sad and reprehensible. I was called a name and merely pointing out assumed facts and data about the virtue signaling accuser. Apparently, I was correct.

This is the problem with Democrats. First to resort to name calling and violence versus conversation and fact finding. I lived in downtown Memphis for a decade. I understand the issues at hand and they’re serious. It’s beyond racism. That’s a simple answer.
