So give me your thoughts on the masters this year.

I sort of had a thought Tiger wasNOT back after just one tournament win, and I was right. His ball striking was average at best and that putter is still balky. I wouldn't have bet against him though. I really think he has big problems, hekeeps reverting back to his old swing mixed with the new Sean Foley model. Ifsomething doesn't change quick he may be parting with another coach soon. Tiger, put aside your old pride and go back to butch harmon if you want to winson. No one knows your swing like him.

I thought rory would go nuts, and he did just skyrocketing down the leaderboard instead of up it. My boy rory probably shouldn't take three weeks off before going into the masters. Bad plan.....and he was in position after saturday. He's got his head up Caroline Wozniacki's skirt....which is not a bad place to have your head.

Mickelson makes two triples including one in the final round, and still had tons of chances on the back nine to make up the ground needed and couldn't mount any kind of charge. His putter wasway to cold for a masters final round.

Congrats to bubba. he kept the driver in play which is sort ofallhe has to doand his putter was good enough (which is not always the case).

I really thought Louis Oosthuizen would get it done after the 2 @ 2. his swing was too good...too solid. He was making par saves everywhere. Putter was solid. Just too bland on the back nine. Fate had something else in mind I guess and a few (just a few) errant shots.
So you would take that instead of playing the course? I can't imagine many people that would do that. What if I could sweeten the deal and you can bring one person to play with you each year? Thousands go to the Masters every year. Few ever play the course. Having been a few times to the tournament, I would give anything to play the course even once. You can play almost any course the pros play on. Augusta has to be the toughest to get on of any course they play. Hell, I think 4 or 5 of the next 8 US Opens are on public courses (albeit really expensive ones).

I couldnt afford to travel to the Masters every year even with free tickets. Last time we went I spent 200$ a night to stay in a fleabag motel 1.5 hours away. Give me the rounds (and a one night stay in butler cabin).

The green jackets probably nicely offered up series badges, but not the option of playing privileges. The main reason is what you mention- who's he going to play with if that's offered? They don't want some swinging Richard and his three buddies making it an annual weekend that has to be accommodated, but a few series badges per year is nothing to the old boys.

If offered, I'd take playing a round per year mainly because I've been and seen the course, but it would be nice to have practice and series badges for life.
