I'm not currently a KY resident, but voted so I could see who supports giving more power to the leftist lunatics in the Senate.
Mitch is Big Corporate yes man, using this state's conservative base to advance their agenda. He has done nothing for the state he represents, while supposedly being one of the most powerful persons in American politics. Will not vote for him.
I wouldn't vote for him over Mitch but I'd consider him in other elections if he ran again.
I would vote for Mitch twice over him if I could. (I could if I were a Chicago Dem)
I haven't researched this, at all, but my guess is the idea is that a Senator goes to Washington to represent his constituency by voting in accordance with their interests and preferences. The idea that a Senator's job was to go to Washington to manipulate the system to procure things for his particular state, I'm guessing that's a fairly recent thing. If I'm right about all of that, considering the red/blue makeup of this state and his voting record, I'd say he's done all right.....
You'd be guessing wrong. It's been going on since the country was founded.
Also, there's a lot of overlap between voting for a state's "interests and preferences" and trying to "procure things" for that state. A distinction without a difference.
I would never vote for Mitch, no matter who he is running against.
Poll needs to be fixed to include "Random Animal Shelter Dog" as an option. That would at least give everyone a better option to vote for.
Any person that votes for a Democrat is voting for Socialism, Fascism, the disolution of the country, and the death of white people. Same goes for the ones voting for the GOPe. You should hate all politicians.
