this fall shapes up to be one of the worst in history as far as seeing our team win games at home. 2-5 looks very likely and 1-6 isn't out of the question.

I don't look for wins. I look for the opponents and this year shapes up to be the best.

...how can we be any worse than last year?

(ignore any recollection you my have of my asking the same question about the baseball team a while back)

..the schedule is a killer.

The offense will show flashes of brillance at times, but will look like Ned & the primer the other 70% of the time.

The defense will be solid, but will not defend good passing teams well.

Here's food for thought: If last year Croom had the kickers Mullen has now, Croom would have gone 6-6, gone to a bowl & would still be MSU's coach.

Not giving La Tech the ball on the 13 yard line (as well as a number of other awful punts) could have been the difference.

Would be a safe year to buy tickets in my opinion. If the team is not shaping up well then you have a really good chance to sell your tickets at face value or maybe even profit to some of the home game opponents. (Florida, LSU, Bama, UM, J state might bring a large crowd, Houston and GA Tech maybe not so much)

With most of your tougher games at home that should be a good thing for success, right?

This is my first year to buy tickets and am still confused about the ranking stuff. If I make a pledge before May 15th does this raise my ranking for football tickets? The way I read the policy is that all pledges have to be made by April 1st but I didn't buy my tickets until 4-19, I pledged and paid my donation then and it raised my ranking. I have called the bulldog club about this and I keep getting different answers. Some say it will improve it for football and others say it won't.

The way I understand it, your ranking as of April 1 is the one that will be used for football ticket priority.

....but the thing is, with Croom, there were always going to be holes like that. If he had kickers last year, then the coverage would have been terrible. It Jamayel Smith doesn't fumble the punt, Carroll would have thrown a pick. If Bonner doesn't fumble the kickoff, Lee would have dropped a snap. That's just how it was with Croom. No attention to detail and fundamentals, no real plan, no burning desire to do what it takes to win.

We are going to lose to Bama, LSU, OM and Florida anyways, so i'd rather play them away and have our home games versus Kentucky, Vandy etc...

We need to win the games against the lesser opponents badly so it would benefit us, this year at least, to have them at home instead of away.

when he says ya'll have a killer schedule. What you say makes sense, and I guess Ronny would agree with you since he says ya'll have a killer schedule.

The more I think about it, you are completely correct that based upon the expectations of MSU next year, it would be an easier schedule if you had your lesser opponents at home. I guess that is why Ronny said MSU has a killer schedule next year, because it is more difficult to get wins when you play the tougher games at home when you are an average to below average team.

Im not positive that is what Ronny meant, but it makes complete sense. Im sure Ronny will chime in and clarify what he meant by "killer schedule".

...sincerely belives Dixon not be starting towards the end of the season because he will not fit Mullen's spread offense is making a funny.

What makes the schedule a killer? I mean having your toughest games at home is a good thing, right? So I would think the schedule wouldn't be a killer. So which is it?

The fact that I have an opinion about Dixon not fitting the spread offense well, is that it could be wrong and Im willing to admit that I may be proven wrong, but that hasn't happened yet.

I think you just realized that you are talking out of both sides of your mouth, and someone called you on it, and now all you can do is deflect, instead of saying, "When I said it was better for MSU to have its tougher games at home, I had absolutely no clue what I was talking about"

By the way, with Bama winning both games this weekend, does that count as Cohen's third sweep? Im assuming you will calling for his head, correct?
