Commish wants Championship to be played closer to Jan.1. Does that mean they want the Traditional BIG Bowls back to NYD and the Plus 1 game the next week?

Will that make the smaller bowls (the ones MSU is most likely to play in) move closer to Christmas than to New Years to get away from so much TV competition?

Will playing smaller bowls right before Christmas or right after Christmas hurt attendance and therefore hurt the smaller bowls chances of survival?

What happens if a small budget school with a modest fan following makes the 2 "final 4" games....and then wins and goes to Champs game? Will those fans watch from their living rooms as corporations fill the stadium with high rollers and fat cats?

Not disagreeing with the plan. Just questioning how the average fan gets to follow their team to TWO post season games financially?

I think what will happen is you will have the final four BCS bowl games on Jan 1 along with some of the other bowl games like always, and then maybe the Cotton Bowl later in the week and some of the other minor bowl games like they do now and then have the BCS Championship Game on a Monday or a Sunday like on Jan. 7th or 8th or whatever.

Looking at the schedule from last year, you had only three non-BCS Bowl games after Jan 2. And on Jan 2 (no games played on Jan 1 this year) you had four non-BCS games- Capital One, Gator, etc. My guess is the BCS bowls would be moved to Jan. 1 and bowls like the Gator would be moved back a day or so if they don't become BCS bowls themselves.
