Do we really have any opt outs? None that stick out to me. Even Kromenhauk is playing. Which could be big if Taylor is injured.

Bowl Games are exhibition games.
Every game is an exhibition game if you didn't make the playoffs. Boohoo, players opt out and now the game doesn't mean as much. Tell that to the players that do play in the game. We lost Whitson after the second game. He was pretty much our defense. Every game after that was an exhibition.

They should have hired players with more loyalty.
Yeah, like our loyal QB that has left to supposedly get ready for The Combine and Pro Days, even though he had (according to ESPN stats) the lowest QB rating in the SEC of all starters.......

Do you blame Shapen? Do you really want him on the sideline? And for what?

The disdain Mississippi State fans have for the guy is ridiculous. Damn near Arkansas fan level bs.

One could make a solid argument that any team in the field of 12 that does not have a realistic chance of winning the national championship in playing in an exhibition game.

It's obvious with JMU and Tulane and honestly it's obvious for 6 more teams as well. There's only 2-4 teams each year that have an actual realistic chance to win it all.

In the grand scheme of college football, the bowl games are equivalent to NIT games in basketball.

with all that said, the CFP is best thing going.... especially if you happen to have a team in.

Expand the CFP to 16 teams. Eliminate on campus games and make all games at the bowl sites. I'd include the music city and Tampa and Orlando.

In order for that to work the bowl games and ESPN/TNT will have to start revenue share with the players to get them to play.

Personally, I'm happy for Shapen. He knew he wasn't going to play in the bowl game. He gave us everything he had during the season. Sadly, he wasn't very mobile and fumbled when he was hit.

Oh my bad, sorry for the "disdain" . So I should be happy he took a ton of NIL money over 2 seasons, won 1 damn conference game then bailed on his teammates. Should Taylor go down in the game or during practice, get the flu, whatever, that leaves us with a backup that went 2-4 for 20yds on the season and also took a bunch of NIL money that we got nothing for either. Damn right I want Shapen standing there on the sidelines earning his damn keep and holding a clipboard. He's a paid employee, not a volunteer and he hasn't done much to earn his keep so yeah he needs to be standing there

All of them took nil money and many didn't fill their position as well as Shapen. Yet Shapen is blamed for losses. Shapen is one of the better players.

Rev share started this year. Also from what I heard, they get paid nil through the bowl, assuming they play.

For all bowl games? If that happened I missed that and curious how much rev share is per player

Worst rated QB in the conference, and he's "one of the better players" . Says a lot about player development, recruiting, talent judgement, and other such duties Lebby is getting $4+ Million to do

The fans, administration and coaches as well. Are any of you not going to watch because WF had starters opt out? To bad for them. They should have hired players with more loyalty.
I will likely watch, but what little luster the game had is diminished further by players opting out.

As I said, the players are just one reason for the bowls, but this year we even had schools opting out. If the participants aren't interested in the games, it doesn't make much sense to have them.

And, FTR, I dont want the bowls to die. Its going to make our seasons pretty meaningless.

So yall can complain about him more while continuously slobbing the knob of his 50% passer backup?

You should have MORE on campus games. Reward the fans in those early games. Almost all major college teams can handle those crowds.

Tony Mitchell and Booth are 2 guys that would normally play but will not be. Isaac smith had surgery and won’t play either.

The fact that you have to type this out is insane. We paid that son of a b*tch 500 thousand dollars. Yea, his b*tch *** needs to be on the sideline in case we need him. This should not be a debate.
