Hoggard's defense isn't a question mark .... It's an issue. 71st is a run first team and used two backs against N. Durham ... Ran for over 200 yards between them. I don't think it's going to be a blow out and feel that Hoggard can compete in this one.
I saw Myrtle Beach beat Byrnes on Saturday and that's big win for them. New Hanover is getting ready for a stretch of very tough games. This one might be their only chance for a "W" in the next three games
I was surprised to see Laney battle Wallace this year and they appear to be a better team than last year, but Rose has weapons even though they lost a few from last year's team.
Why didn't Ashley play? I read in the paper about JV players and not having enough - Player safety. Was player safety issue a concern last year when Ashley played two games in three days? Should win their first game of the year.
West Brunswick looks like they are contenders in the Mideastern Conference. So goes Bubba McCray ... So does the Trojans. South Columbus is much improved too. West should win in a close one.
Good win for South Brunswick and they have a running back too. Carter had over 200 yards against West Columbus. SE Raleigh gave a talented Conley it could handle last week. Cougars come back down to earth this week,
I imagine the Topsail and Pender came to be very painful to watch.

Hoggard will have to finish drives with TD's and cut down on penalties if they want to keep it close.
I will be surprised if NH beats MB.
Laney defense may be better than last season but they are still 1 dem. WRH gave them 2 short fields on both their scoring drives. One was an INT and one was a fumbled punt. WRH isn't comfortable passing either. Laney had all 11 guys within 8 yards of the LOS. I don't blame them, I would have done the same thing.
The decision not to play may come back to bite AHS. I would imagine they could not agree to play on Saturday or Monday.
