as a rams fan that pisses me off, I'll never get away from him.

Why does that piss you off? That's what happened. We wanted more offense. He refused to compromise. He resigned or "resigned" - depending on your point of view. I don't see what the big deal is. We've moved on. He's moved on. Let it be.

It means we valued offense more than Croom did.

that is what is ridiculous about it. it reads like we would rather win at all costs rather than having Croom's players with "character" around. the funny thing is they didn't have more character than any other damn football team in the country. it was a myth.

for he refused to give up the entitlement mentality that allows you to not only retain but give f'n raises to the most incompetent coordinator in D1 history. When ninja told him to fire his entitlement buddy, and he refused to compromise, his ample black *** were "resigned."

..Sly did the best he could....he at least won a bowl game.

That era is ended. Can we please move on?

No He didn't do the best He could do.

He made a huge mistake from the begining by NOT doing the best He could do.

As a first time Head Coach , instead of hiring the best possible asst. coaches He could hire , He chose to USE his position to give his friend (Woody) a free ride.

MSU trusted Croom to do his best to win at MSU and He violated that trust with his hiring of Woody before his first team ever took the field.

This is why I am disgusted by all the talk of Croom being a man of character and all that other BS about what a great guy he is.

Croom cheated MSU. He was hired to do his best and didn't even attempt to. He abused the position from day one.

Anyone can sit back and throw out sayings like "be good or be gone" , "We are doing things the right way" , God this and Jesus that , make the players go to church.....yada yada yada.........If you hire your buddy instead of hiring the best coach available , then You are dishonest.

Croom was dishonest with MSU. We gave him a shot even his own school wouldn't give him and He repayed Us by cheating us for the benefit of his buddy.

And what are the results of the Croom project? That dishonest bastard walks away with millions while We are stuck with 5 years of an offense that most Cub scout dens could stop.

I am done. Sorry for going off , but I hate for anyone to give Croom the least bit of a free pass for what He did here. He was dishonest.
