but I`ll guarantee you this. If you don`t win the west this year it won`t because LSU did. The hat has just about run his course in red stick.

The Hat has recruited well but he is an equally bad coach.

They might have the worst defense in the league. Arkansas and Georgia will challenge them for that honor.

hell...I haven't seen the time of possession, but the offense did a lot to put LSU in some bad situations. They couldn't run the ball either and the defense played a lot. Our weakness is the d-line and I felt Lee had a lot of time today to pass the ball. Not to mention State's running game got stronger as the game went on.

I am scratching my head on Les Miles again. The guy never ceases to amaze me. He has to be one of the luckiest coaches I have ever seen on some of his wins, and today was no exception.

At least we can beat Mississippi half the time. LSU has our damn number no matter what the matchup on the field is like. I'm starting to hate them.

After we serve up the game on a silver platter, their fans start going nuts in the stands like their team did something great today. 17ing ********.

I've never understood their ranking. They have issues on both sides of the football that I didn't expect would be fixed in the off-season.

LSU will at best go 4-4 in SEC play this year. Had you punched it in today for the win, they'd be on their way to 3-5, possibly 2-6.

They still have to play Florida, Georgia, Bama, Auburn, Arkansas, and Ole Miss left. They are going to be fighting an uphill battle in my opinion.

MSU was definitely the better team today. You gave that game away, and it wasn't just the goalline stand. The turnovers and the special teams also killed you. You outplayed them significantly and lost because of a good number of mistakes.

After watching, I have a good amount more respect for Mullen and your team, but I also feel like LSU may be worse than I expected. Call me crazy, but I definitely think you have a pretty good shot at taking out Georgia Tech next Saturday.

Right now, there is no 2nd place in the West. Every team behind Bama has issues on at least one side of the football. I'd be curious to know who you think is headed for 2nd and 3rd. It sure as hell won't be Arkansas. They are 0-2 in the league with LSU, Florida, Ole Miss, Auburn, South Carolina, and MSU still to play. They will be lucky to do better than 3-5.

Auburn may be in the best spot right now, but their defense has holes. There is a lot of football left to be played, and the only clear cut good team in the West right now is Alabama.

I definitely don't think you'll see LSU higher than 4th though. I think MSU is going to give a lot of the rest of the West fits too though because of the fact that no one in the West outside of Bama has shown to be without major faults.

which just has to suck since you were going to compete for the National Championship and play Florida in the SECCG.......No, more like a trip to the Peach Bowl, Liberty, or the annual Ole Miss invitational in Shreveport.....I think Auburn finishes second...........

I agree that Auburn is the 2nd best in the West, Malzahn is legit when given full reign of the offense, unlike he had at Arky.

And Coach34 was about as wrong as you can get about the Miles vs Saban issue, if it wasn't apparent Saban was about to dominate the West last year, it sure as hell is this year. It's just as apparent that LSU is headed downhill. They have so much talent it's unreal that they are this mediocre. Jones, Peterson, and Woods on D might be 1st rounders as well as Lafell and Black on offense, to go along w/ Williams, Dickson, Tolliver, all the RB's. What a waste

I disagree, Auburn is the 2nd best team in the west and it aint even close!

Auburn has looked the best of the rest so far, but they have issues defensively. Like I said, every team in the West has shown chinks in some area. We'll find out more as everyone hits the meat of conference play.

Auburn gave up over 500 yards to WVU. They won the turnover margin in that game 6-1. If WVU takes care of the ball at all, they beat Auburn by double digits at their place. They are far from a definite No. 2 until they prove they can stop people consistently.

You've been reading the Spirit too much. I had us 9-3, maybe 10-2, and I still think we can get there.
